VenomFangX did respond in text (yeah, a video would have been nice...): "If I thought I was wrong, I wouldn't believe what I believe. Might I be wrong, sure, I just doubt it; as much as you doubt that I am right." -------------------------------- I am an atheist. I do not have a belief in a god or gods. I accept the theory of evolution because the evidence available to me indicates that it is an accurate representation of reality. I defend the theory of evolution with passion and zeal because I think it is true. I do not believe in the existence of God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, Satan, angels, or demons - because I do not see enough evidence to support the claim that they DO exist. As strong as my belief in evolution is, and as strong as my LACK of a belief in the supernatural is, I openly admit that I DO NOT know everything about everything. To be open minded is to admit and accept the possibility that you might be wrong. It is completely possible that sometime in the future, I'm going to stumble upon proof that God created the cosmos less than ten-thousand years ago, and that our genetic heritage began with Adam and Eve. I seriously doubt it, but I accept the possibility that I might be wrong. If I were presented with evidence that conclusively disproved some of my beliefs, or affirmed that which I do not believe in, I would change my mind instantly, and rejoice in the fact that I have grown one step closer to understanding this wonderful thing called existence. To paraphrase Sam Harris - if you hold to the position that 'Nothing you say can change my mind', what you are really saying is 'I am not taking reality into account when making my decisions'. I've had a lot of people tell me that I'm wasting my time trying to 'get through to you', VenomFangX. My question for you is simple - do you accept the POSSIBILITY that you MIGHT be wrong? -Ape

Since making this video, Sean has changed the name of his video to "A simple way to prove the existence of God", and then "Proof God is Real". I wouldn't be surprised if he changes it again. I stumbled upon VenomFangX's video this morning, and while I normally wouldn't bother responding to this sort of video, this particular one bothered me. Apparently, Shawn is leaving Shock! Horror! He has been receiving death threats Ok. Let's take that at face value. If you are the person who is threatening Shawn, please, do everyone a favour and go fuck yourself. In other words, get lost. Regardless of what we may think of our Shawn, we are quite able to deal with his stupidity with rational arguments and by peaceful means. And certainly any decent person will join me condemning such sick, cowardly tactics. But Shawn, if this threat is real, they already have all your personal details. Deleting your videos is not going to help. It only serves to encourage the bastards. You told the authorities, didn't you? Good. They'll handle the matter. They're the experts. But caving in is not going to make the bullying stop. But.... Shawn... I watched your GOODBYE video. I checked your channel. And I'm getting bullshit vibes. Bad ones. Your channel has not been closed. But, ok. You say you hope one day you'll return. But I noticed that even though you deleted a lot of videos, you didn't delete all of them. Only the ones in which you embarrass yourself. Of course that is the large majority of your videos. Call me a cynic, but that's what I noticed. You only deleted the videos that embarrassed you. Why is that, Shawn? And I can't help but notice how you seem to be using your GOODBYE video to accuse people you don't like. Thunderf00t, TJ, those who lampoon you. Is this a situation you engineered, rather than the truth? I hope not. Because I can tell you, if you think we treated you meanly before, if that is what you are up to you better start praying to your imaginary friend now that we will never find out. The accusations you made in your vid were unacceptable. But I'm sure most of us can understand that in the stress of such threats your judgement would be clouded.
