Koyaanisqatsi Cloudscape + Ulrich Schnauss - 304 sec
Koyaanisqatsi is the best film ever, and the Cloudscape section is awesome with Philip Glass' beautiful score... Ulrich Schnauss' 'Nothing Happens in June' has recently struck me as a beautiful piece of music as well that reminds me of clouds in the sky... So combining the amazing clouds of Koyaanisqatsi with the music of Ulrich Schnauss sounded like a cool idea! Let me know what you think! Try watching with some headphones to get the full effect. A lot of the transitions work out really well, and I think this song really works with the imagery (of course, Glass' score is still number 1 for me!) And definitely check out the film Koyaanisqatsi as well as Ulrich Schnauss' album 'Far Away Trains Passing By'.

Ulrich Roski - Des Pudels Kern 1975 - 290 sec
Ulrich Roski - Des Pudels Kern 1975 (* 4. Also: Vorwärts - Marsch!"

Smoke on the Water Ian Gillan Lars Ulrich and Gizzarelli Lead Guitar - 481 sec
http://www.myspace.com/whaletailrocks Me playing guitar on stage with Ian Gillan, Lars Ulrich, and the Ian Gillan Band. With Gizzarelli-Lead Guitar, Ian Gillan-Vocals, Lars Ulrich-Drums, Michael Lee Jackson-Guitar, Dean Howard-Guitar, Joe Mennonna-Keys and Sax, Rodney Appleby-Bass, and Randy Cooke-Drums The lyrics of the song tell a true story: on December 4, 1971, Deep Purple had set up camp in Montreux, Switzerland to record an album using a mobile recording studio (rented from the Rolling Stones and known as the Rolling Stones Mobile Studio - referred to as the "Rolling truck Stones thing" and "the mobile" in the song lyrics) at the entertainment complex that was part of the Montreux Casino (referred to as "the gambling house" in the song lyric). On the eve of the recording session a Frank Zappa and The Mothers of Invention concert was held in the casino's theatre. During the gig a fire broke out: "In the middle of Don Preston's synthesizer solo on 'King Kong', the place suddenly caught fire. Somebody in the audience had fired a flare gun into the ceiling, at which point the rattan covering started to burn"[1][2], as mentioned in the "some stupid with a flare gun" line. The resulting fire destroyed the entire casino complex, along with all the Mothers' equipment. The "smoke on the water" that became the title of the song (credited to bass guitarist Roger Glover, who related how the title occurred to him when he suddenly woke from a dream a few days later) referred to the smoke from the fire spreading over Lake Geneva from the burning casino as the members of Deep Purple watched the fire from their hotel across the lake. The "Funky Claude" running in and out is referring to Claude Nobs, the director of the Montreux Jazz Festival who helped some of the audience escape the fire. Claude Nobs (2006), the "Funky Claude" mentioned in the songLeft with an expensive mobile recording unit and no place to record, the band was forced to scout the town for another place to set up. One promising venue (found by Nobs) was a local theatre called The Pavilion, but soon after the band had loaded in and started working/recording, the nearby neighbours took offence at the noise, and the band was only able to lay down backing tracks for one song (based on Blackmore's riff and temporarily named Title nº1), before the local police shut them down. Finally, after about a week of searching, the band rented out the nearly-empty Montreux Grand Hotel and converted its hallways and stairwells into a makeshift recording studio, where they laid down most of the tracks for what would become their most commercially successful album, Machine Head. Ironically, the only song from Machine Head not recorded in the Grand Hotel was "Smoke on the Water" itself, which had been recorded during the abortive Pavilion session. The lyrics of "Smoke on the Water" were composed later, and the vocals were recorded in the Grand Hotel. After 1973, vocalist Ian Gillan and bass guitar player Roger Glover quit the band, and were replaced by David Coverdale and Glenn Hughes, who divided the vocals between each other. For this song, they divided it up so that Coverdale sang the first verse, Hughes sang the second verse, and they both sang the third verse and the choruses in harmony. However, rather than sing the third verse with the as-written lyrics, they chose instead to repeat the first verse every time they sang it. When Steve Morse joined the band, it became a "Deep Purple" tradition to have him play a solo preceding this song in concert. This solo would consist of a medley of solos, licks, and riffs from many various classic rock songs. Rather than blend them into one another, Morse separates most of the licks by playing some one-handed tapping in between them.

+ (Ulrich Schnauss-A Letter From Home-Isolated Place) - 476 sec
Original Short With Ulrich Schnauss' "A Letter From Home" From A Strangely Isolated Place. This Also Includes A Vermeer Work, Paintings Of Prometheus, King Lear, Ulysses And Sisyphus (together spelling "plus"). When viewing this piece, one should keep in mind these four figures, not in their historical context, but as they might relate to the technological age. One will also notice the "+/crossroads" motif repeated in the window of the Vermeer painting and in the division between cubicles. The reflections in the mirrors are also of import as they relate to the computer. One girl is looking at herself in the mirror/monitor, another is looking at the viewer from a mirror/monitor and the viewer is very likely looking at her through a computer screen as well. Joey Jordison vs. Lars Ulrich - 290 sec
Nathan Jonas "Joey" Jordison is an American rock musician. He is best known for his role as the drummer for the band Slipknot. He is also well known as the guitarist for Murderdolls, a glam metal/horror punk band which he founded in the 2000s, that is currently on hiatus due to the Murderdolls' members' main projects. As of 2007, he is also Black Metal band Gorgoroth's live drummer for the United States. In 2006, he was the drummer for the industrial metal band Ministry. For the most of 2007, Jordison took over the drumming duties for the nu-metal band Korn before going back to the studio to work on Slipknot's fourth studio album. In the summer of 2004 at Download Festival, Lars Ulrich of headliners Metallica was unable to perform with the band. Jordison stepped up and filled in for Ulrich. Joey played most of the set with Metallica. Lars Ulrich (born December 26, 1963) is the drummer and co-founder of Metallica. He was born in Gentofte, Denmark to an upper middle-class family. A tennis prodigy in his youth, Ulrich moved to Los Angeles, California at age seventeen to pursue his training, but instead of playing tennis, he ended up as a drummer. After publishing an advertisement in a local Los Angeles newspaper called The Recycler, he met James Hetfield and formed Metallica. Metallica is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1981.[1] Metallica has become one of the most commercially successful musical acts of recent decades, and are considered one of the "Big Four" pioneers of thrash metal, along with Anthrax, Slayer, and Megadeth.[citation needed] The band has sold more than 90 million records worldwide,[2][3] including 57 million albums in the United States alone[4][5], which makes them the most commercially successful thrash metal band of all time.[6] Slipknot (sometimes typeset as SlipKnoT to fit their logo) is a Grammy-winning American nu metal[1] band from Des Moines, Iowa. The nine-piece formed in 1996 and is currently signed to Roadrunner Records[2]/Nuclear Blast. German-based record company Nuclear Blast Records handles the record sales of the band in Scandinavia while Roadrunner handles the sales worldwide. Their albums and home videos have achieved platinum sales status.[1] The band's Grammy award nominations include Best Metal Performance, which their song, "Before I Forget", won after six successive years of nomination.[3]
