| Tangerine Dream - Tyger - 352 sec Title track from the 1987 album Tyger. Although vocalisations and vocal sampling have been used on many TD tracks without detracting from the music, on the few occasions where they have added lyrics (ie turned tracks into songs) it has proved unpopular with many TD fans. I agree with this generally, but this track is an exception, as I love William Blake's poem 'Tiger Tiger'. What better music to set it to than TD's? The vocal on the track was performed by Jocelyn Bernadette Smith. Auteur : MitchyLR Tags: Tangerine Dream Tyger |

| The Tyger' By William Blake - 86 sec THE TYGER (from Songs Of Experience)
By William Blake
read by Samuel West
Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare sieze the fire?
And what shoulder, & what art.
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears,
And watered heaven with their tears,
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?

| Prince Nuada~Tyger - 348 sec Song: Tyger
Group: Tangerine Dream
Poet: William Blake
This is one of my most favorite songs of all time. It's based off of the poem "The Tyger" by William Blake and is performed by Tangerine Dream. This poem reminded me of Prince Nuada.
"The Tyger"
Tyger, Tyger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand dare sieze the fire?
And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp?
Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears
And water'd heaven with their tears,
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
Tyger, Tyger, burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
I hope you like it! Enjoy!

| "The Tyger" by William Blake - Recital - 68 sec "The Tyger" by William Blake.
In this poem, Blake questions a god that could create something as violent and fierce as a tiger and in the same sweep create something as innocent and vulnerable as a lamb.
I like this poem because of its dystheistic undertone. A lot of authors battled these kinds of thoughts but were too afraid to speak out publicly in fear of religious reprisals. Blake was not one to hold back his views, and I greatly respect him for it.
