Comedian TuRae - 293 sec Biography
TuRaes comedy career began when encouraged by friends to enter an open mic competition at the famous Philadelphia Laff House. Drawing on his urban upbringing and experiences, the 66 failed basketball star and neighborhood geek demonstrates an engaging and earnest style of comedy with broad appeal.
TuRaes 10th stand up appearance on the BET network was aired this year with the debut their newest stand up program, One Mic Stand. TuRaes has appeared on Comic View, The Sumner Report, and Partners in Crime. The urban comedy magazine Humor Mill described TuRaes performance on HBOs Def Comedy Jam as one of the funniest of the season.
TuRae headlines clubs and colleges and has competed in and won a number of competitions including the Def Jam Comedy Competition, The WBs Comedy After Midnight, World Cup Comedy Clash and Just for Laughs comedy festival in Montreal.
