Montevideo (Uruguay), 7 may (EFE).-
El canadiense Svein Tuft ganó su segunda medalla de oro en el Campeonato Panamericano de Ciclismo que se disputa en Uruguay tras imponerse en la prueba por puntos en la que superó a veintidós rivales.
Tuft, de 30 años, y que anteriormente ganó la presea dorada en persecución individual, estuvo al frente a la competencia desde el inicio de las 120 vueltas al Velódromo Municipal "Atiliop Francois" de Montevideo e impuso el ritmo de la carrera, logrando sumar 36 puntos.
La medalla de plata fue para el estadounidense Daniel Holloway (59) y la presea de bronce para el chileno Antonio Cabrera (55).
