GTR-DVD-1040 - Around 3,500 kilometres west of the mainland of Chile is the Pacific island of Rapa Nui, otherwise known as Easter Island. Three million years ago volcanic activity created this small island of lava that covers an area of a hundred and sixty square kilometres.
Rapa Nui is one of the most remote places on Earth and its closest neighbour is Pitcairn Island more than two thousand kilometres west.
Since its discovery by Dutch sailors on Easter Sunday, 1722, there has been a great deal of interest in the island. In spite of its growing tourist trade the island has retained an air of tranquillity and is ideal for nature lovers and those interested in its history. Theories abound as to who were the first settlers to arrive on this tiny island but scientists believe that its first inhabitants originated from Eastern Polynesia.
But the island's main focal point are its gigantic and mysterious stone monuments that date back to late pre-historic times. These mighty statues have always stimulated a certain amount of fantasy as the island was thought to be part of a lost continent.
Nearly all the mighty figures, known as Moai, originated from the slopes of the Rano Raraku Volcano. Its Tuff stone was an ideal sculpting material and its soft texture made it possible for the islanders to create tall, massive statues out of the rock within only a few weeks. There are still almost four hundred individually crafted Moai figures on the island.
During the 19th century slave traders arrived and took with them thousands of the island's inhabitants. Those that were left of the island's religious leaders took their knowledge of the island and its culture to their graves. Thus the exact meaning of the intriguing, giant Megalithic sculptures will remain an unsolved mystery for the rest of time.

The US government promised Hirohito that neither he nor any member of the royal family would stand trial or even be questioned, and that most of the major war criminals would be allowed
to return to power in post-war Japan, some after only a few years in prison. As part of the deal, Japan was also allowed to keep tens of billions of dollars worth of stolen loot. Thus, while the China, Korea, and the other Asian countries watched in envy, their stolen treasures went to rebuilding Japan and accounts for Japan's post-war "economic miracle." The title of Dr. Joseph's new film is: "Hirohito & Asia's Stolen Treasures Why the World Forgot The Rape of Nanjing & Japanese Atrocities." He is also the Director of "The Rape of Nanking." During the Pacific War and World War II, it was well known that Japanese soldiers tortured, beheaded, bayonetted, raped, set on fire, and murdered millions of women, children, and old men including Chinese, British, Dutch, Australian, and American POWs. As the war drew to a close, the US congress, political leaders, newspapers, and people from around the
world demanded that Hirohito and the entire royal family be tried as war criminals. However, after the the Phillipines was liberated from Japan, the US made an amazing discovery. Under the direction of Hirohito's brother, prince Chibubu, the Japanese buried billions of dollars in gold in tunnels and caves excavated by Japanese engineers. Hirohito and the royal family had systmatically looted every Asian country they had attacked. Asian treasure had been hidden in the Phillipines, in banks, or sat in sunken ships at the bottom of Tokyo Bay. Billions more had been used to fund the Japanese war machine, or had been secretly deposited in dozens of major banks headquartered in neutral countries. However, there is a saying: "To the victor goes the spoils." The U.S. as victor felt entitled to share in the spoils of war. However, to make the deal stick, the world's Number 1 war criminal, Emperor Hirohito was absolved off all responsibility.The U.S. began conspiring with mass murderers, war criminals, and the gangsters and to cover up their crimes. It was imperative that Hirohito and all responsible members of the royal family, never be charged, never be questioned, and that all go free. Even General Ishii who commanded the infamous unit 731 received immunity. Ishii made a private deal with MacArthur. General Ishii had conducted horrible medical experiments on innocent people, injecting Koreans, Chinese, Russians, Americans, and others with horrible diseases and then dissecting people alive, without anesthesia. According to Colonel Sanders, "MacArthur agreed to immunity for all in return for all the [unit 731] information." Ishii later became a millionaire and director of Japan's Green Cross.
Hirohito would also go free and would never be questioned. However, during the trial Tojo insisted that he followed the orders of the Emperor. When Tojo was asked. "Did you ever make any suggestion or take any action against the Emperor's wil..." Tojo replied: "No, I didn't. None of us would dare act against the Emperor's will." Other prosecutor's immediately began demanding that Hirohito be indicted immediately and placed on trial. Keenan and MacArthur immediately sent their agent, Ryukushi Tanaka, to speak with Tojo. Tojo stubbornly refused to change his testimony. " Hirohito realizing the jeopardy he was in, ordered Lord Keeper of the Privy Seal Koichi Kido to meet with Tojo. On January 4, Kido and Tojo met. As later revealed by Tanaka: "Kido talked to Tojo and told him of Keenan's intentions. Kido tried very hard to persuade him and Tojo understood and reluctantly agreed." When Tojo appeared again in court, Tojo retracted and changed his testimony, took all the blame, and absolved Hirohito of all responsibility.Thus, General MacArthur, and the United States government conspired with war criminals, mass murderers, and gangsters to cover up the crimes of Hirohito and the royal family, in
return for a significant proportion of the 100 billion dollars in gold, silver, and other assets which had been looted from all over Asia by Japan, and allowed Hirohito and the royal family to get away with mass murder.

GTR-DVD-1042 - A mighty wall surrounds the Medina, the old part of the Tunisian city of Sousse, whose fortifications date back to the 9th century. They were built by the Aghlabides who were strongly influenced by Islam.
There is a remarkable gate at the northern edge of the Medina. It is the entrance to the Ribat, an impressive fortress that was built by the Aghlabides in the 10th century. This military building was very similar to a monastery in which Islamic interests dominated the actions of the Ribat's „Warrior Monks."
The history of Sousse has been influenced by many different countries and cultures. Carthagian, Roman and even Byzantine influences can be found in the city. Its convenient location, coastline and fertile countryside created a prosperous trading and commercial centre, making Sousse the main metropolis of the Sahel.
Stretching out onto the highest point of the Medina is the impressive fortress, the Kasbah, that was built on the foundations of a Byzantine castle and today contains an important museum.
Thanks to its special location, Sousse has always fascinated visitors with its rich variety of atmospheric, historical impressions. Thankfully, and despite its warlike past, the Medina of Sousse has been able to preserve most of its original character.

Welcome awesome ladies and gentlemen to the third (3rd) and final part of my newest and original special series entitled "Atari 5200 Unreleased Treasures", which actually pertain to some seriously damn excellent classic games for the Atari 5200 that SADLY never got a chance to be officially released to us at all due apparently to the Video Game Crash of 1984 that came in the USA from during that time... and that is just why I present to you this series indeed!!
Right here, we check out an excellent conversion of the very tough 1982 arcade game known as Xevious on the Atari 5200, which was unfortunately cancelled in order to make way for the Atari 7800, in which the released Atari 7800 version of this game was the MOST definitive of the Xevious games ever put out on any Atari game console today, period. Perhaps that well-explains why this 5200 version here is simply an unreleased prototype, despite the fact that it handles such smooth vertical scrolling so damn amazingly here!! And what's more, you are now seeing a video of this unfinished conversion right here on YouTube for the VERY first time anywhere, and wait until you see how surprisingly well I played this sucker, too!!! (^-^)v !!

The Andy Warhol Museum's Time Capsules project is getting exciting.
One day we found a mummified foot.
Another day we found original pre-Pop Warhol drawings from the 50's.
Yesterday we found Andy's personal diary from trips to Paris and Rome.
What will we find tomorrow? Honestly? We don't know! But we want to.
We want to continue this work. We want to continue revealing hidden treasures and showing them to you. And we need your help.
You, together with other Warhol fans from around the world, can make sure this important project continues. You plus 49 other people at $100 opens a Time Capsule. You plus 9 other people at $500 opens a Time Capsule.
To open each Time Capsule costs about $5,000, total. This includes the documentation, archival processing and cataloging, scanning every object (and digital photography of large objects) and properly re-housing them in acid-free folders and Mylar sleeves. Once the cataloging is complete, we'll be able to to begin researching what we've found and, eventually, put the entire Time Capsules collection on the web, so everyone can access it.
Together, we can take the "maybe" out of this project, because we won't be relying solely on foundations to support the work. This project can be completely funded by the people who will get the most out of it... people who care about Andy Warhol and his legacy. People who care about preserving original artifacts from the '50s, '60s, '70s and '80s. People who are just glad something this weird is being taken on by a major museum.
