| HOW TO MAKE A TRACK DOLLY ~ LOW-BUDGET FIMMAKING (UK) - 552 sec
There didn't seem to be much help on this subject on YouTube, so I decided to make a "How-to" video.
I just Googled "how to make a track dolly", and some of the sites I originally used to make my track dolly no longer appear to be there.
However, Googling "track dolly skateboard wheels" turned up lots of useful sites that should help you.
Total cost of the dolly was about £80.
Total Dolly size = 2ft wide x 3ft long.
Type of pipe used for track = 32mm waste pipe.
Angle alluminium width = 2in x 2in at 3mm thick.
NOTE: Angle aluminium is a lot easier to work with than angle iron - which is very heavy and hard to drill & cut. It also goes rusty and is generally not much fun to handle.
ALSO: Try to get the wheels positioned closer together so they sit on the upper/top portion of the track rather than middle/sides of the track. (Or in other words - go for a small/narrow "L" shape area for the track to sit in)
I found wider-spaced wheels were trying to bend the pipe and make the dolly harder & more jerky to push with weight on it.

Seit es Airsoft gibt, bei uns auch Softair genannt, steht eine Villa unter Dauerbeschuss.
Heute steigt die Operation "Mimosa". Die drei Brüder Badboy, Joko und Cool ballern sich warm für die große Schlacht. Wie alle Freizeit-Söldner sind sie bis unter die Zähne bewaffnet. Airsoft, Luftdruck-Gewehre, nach denen auch diese Disziplin benannt wurde. An der Côte d'Azur, liegt seit einiger Zeit Blei - pardon -- Plastik in der Luft.
Diesen Sonntag hat das Airsoft-Team von Gaireau, kurz GAT, ein Kontingent von 50 Männern und Frauen zusammen getrommelt. Außer sich Plastikkügelchen um die Ohren zu ballern, spielen die Wochenend-Soldaten noch einmal die schönsten Schlachten der Geschichte möglichst originalgetreu nach. Heute steht das Gemetzel von „Dien Bien Fu" auf dem Programm.
Beim Airsoft ist nicht nur Fairplay das oberste Gebot, man ist auch Umweltbewusst. Die Kugeln, Kaliber sechs Millimeter, mit denen der Gegner weggepustet wird, sind komplett biologisch abbaubar. Die Regeln sind einfach: Wer getroffen wird, gibt sich als tot oder verletzt zu erkennen. Dann kommen diejenigen zum Einsatz, die eine Nebenrolle im Drehbuch erwischt haben.
Airsoft ist die perfekte Medizin gegen Counterstrike-Sucht, denn hier kann man seine Schießfertigkeit im Maßstab eins zu eins unter Beweis stellen.
Dabei hat Airsoft eine viel längere Tradition als seine virtuelle Konkurrenz. Als die Japaner am 2. September 1945 den Kapitulations-Vertrag unterzeichneten, wurde ihnen von den Amerikanern der Besitz von Feuerwaffen verboten. Die Söhne Nippons wurden zu Luftdruckgewehr-Schützen degradiert, aber seitdem ist das japanische Archipel ein Mekka für Airsoft-Fans.
In Europa sind 800 Spieler allein in Frankreich, Belgien und der Schweiz stationiert. Der Luft-Druck ihrer Waffen ist auf maximal einen Joule begrenzt. Das stuft sie in die Kategorie Spielzeug ein. Dennoch, gibt es gesetzliche Vorschriften. Wer abdrücken will, muss mindestens 18 Jahre alt sein. Minderjährige dürfen nur unter Aufsicht eines Erwachsenen mitmischen. In Italien ist Airsoft sogar eine offiziell anerkannte Sportart. Auch aktuelle Fernsehberichte liefern die Vorlagen für die Szenarien.
