| Tough Tootsies of the Eighties No . 1 - 381 sec PLEASE READ THIS - This the first of two clips from "Slave Girls From Beyond Infinity", a wonderful piece of tongue-in-cheek B-grade schlock directed by Ken Dixon in 1987. It starred Elizabeth Cayton as Daria; Cindy Beal as Tisa; scream queen, Brinke Stevens, as Shala; Don Scribner as Zed; and Kirk Graves as Vak.
It is debatable whether these two cream puffs actually earned the epithet "tough", but at least they are in there mixing it up with aliens, robots and demented villains. Sandhal Bergman they ain't!

This inept made-in-Argentina cheapie has (1) painful dialogue; (2) lousy acting, especially by the dubbed voices in English; (3) clumsy fight scenes; (4) laughable special effects; and last but not least, (5) an army of muscular tanned beauties kicking butt from Buenos Aires to Patagonia.
The film was directed by Alejandro Sessa and starred Windsor Taylor Randolph (aka Mindi Miller and Ty Randolph); Penelope Reed as Tashi; Joseph Whipp as Kalugo; and Danitza Kingsley as Tshingi.
Ms Randolph was trained by her father, Dave Kashner, a veteran Hollywood stuntman of the 1930s, 40s and 50s. She did all of her own stunts and never used a body double. She received extensive training in karate, the use of firearms, swordfighting, horseback riding, hand to hand combat, and gymnastics (IMDb). She's one of my favourite tough tootsies.

This quirky film is a post-apocalyptic road trip through several bizarre tribal cultures in search of the hero's sister, who has been kidnapped by The Norks (the remnant tribe of New York).
The film was directed by Avi Nesher and starred Sandahl Bergman as She; David Goss as Tom; the spunky Qin Kessler as Shandra; Harrison Muller Jr as Dick; and Gordon Mitchel as Hector, leader of The Norks. The soundtrack of this film is an intrusive score of bombastic rock provided by Rick Wakeman and also features songs by Motorhead, Bastard, Justin Hayward and Maggie Bell.

This movie was renamed "She-Wolves of the Waste land" when it was released on DVD recently, but I have chosen to preserve the title it had when I first discovered it ten years ago.
It has all of the essential ingredients for an 80s Tough Tootsies post-apocalyptic masterpiece - it is incredibly silly; it almost has an all-female cast; the costumes are brief (and ridiculous); the hair is big; the hammy performances are laughable; all manner of female to female violence is employed (guns, knives, fists, swords, axes, rocket launchers), sometimes very clumsily; and it is a feast of eye candy from go to woe.
The film was directed by Robert Hayes and starred Kathleen Kinmont, who is the daughter of Abby Dalton, star of "The Saga of the Viking Women and Their Voyage to the Waters of the Great Sea Serpent" (honest!). See Fifties Cheesecake Dance No. 9.
The nasty Cobalt was played by Persis Khambatta, an Indian model who is best remembered as Lt. Ilia in "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" (1979).
The Reverand Mother was played by Shiela Howard, who also played the role of Badger, one of Cobalt's tough gang. She's the one who delivers the line, "She killed Riptide and Whiplash. Now they've headed out into the desert." in this clip.
Keela was played by Peggy Sanders (aka Peggy McIntaggart), and she delivers some of the worst lines in the film (and that's saying something).
Laurie de Nuccio, who played Neon in the arena scene (see Tough Tootsies of the Eighties No. 11), was the daughter of a bodybuilder who went on to win many bodybulder titles of her own in the mid-1980s.
The only male in the cast, James Emery, appeared in John Carpenter's "Escape from New York" (1981) with Kurt Russell.

Ms Clarkson, a keen horse rider and natural athlete, first appeared in "Deathstalker" (1983). The German director, Ernst R. von Theumer (aka Richard Jackson) shot the film on location in Mexico using mostly American actors, but there is also a Danish actress, a Hungarian actress, a Cuban actress and a Brazilian actor involved. Hollywood B-grade stalwarts John Vernon, Woody Strode and Paul L Smith appear, as does that overrated mean-faced, full-figured 80s Amazon, Sybil Danning. I know she has a large following amongst the muscle car fraternity coz of "those amazing hooters", but these dunderheads don't appear to notice that (1) she has zero charisma; and (2) them hooters are pretty saggy. We also get the multi-talented (and funny looking) Marjoe Gortner (he was also a child preacher and faith healer).
This bizarre tale involves a group of models who travel to an unidentified South American locale for an exotic photo shoot but are taken prisoner by the reigning drug lord, who allows his men, and his hard-hearted sister, to treat them poorly. One of the girls is an undercover US Government agent who calls in her boys as a fire-fight errupts between the drug baron's forces and the visiting mafia. Somehow the escaped dolly girls are suddenly transformed into trained commandos and they clean up the whole bloody mess. I can't recommend this must-see hokum more highly.

The film was shot almost entirely in Bronson Canyon, the most recognisable film location in the world, in 10 days. The plot involves a group of adventurers who enter a cave in search of diamonds and encounter a bevy of cave girls, cannibalistic demons, and a crashed alien amazon.
The cast of the film included Sybil Danning as the Alien Queen; Michelle Baur as the Cave Bunny; Ross Hagen as Cort Eastman; Jeffrey Combs as Andrew Paris; Dawn Wildsmith as Eddy Colchilde; Robert Quarry as Professor Strock; Susan Stokey as Denae Chambers ; and Russ Tamblyn as Bill.
That is not the original Robby the Robot in this clip, but one of many reproductions that exist. The one used, however, was owned by director, William Malone, the world's foremost "Forbidden Planet" collector, who owns the original Robby.
