Anos atrás, Chico Anysio fazia em seu programa humorístico um quadro e um personagem que cutucava os evangélicos: Tim Tones. O nome era uma corruptela de um tal de Jim Jones, um desses líderes malucos norte-americanos que dizendo-se mensageiro divino convenceu uma centena de seguidores a cometer suicídio coletivo. Mas a imagem não era de nenhum Jim Jones. Era uma descarada e provocativa sátira dos pastores televisivos norte-americanos que na época comandavam os programas evangélicos na TV. Tim Tones era um pastor que comandava seu programa de TV, de terno branco, a mesma cor da roupa de sua esposa Jennifer (algo assim) e seus 5 filhos, todos com nomes americanos. Pedia ofertas, aprontava das suas, prometia curas, etc.

Ann Arbor's NOMO has blended the percussive afro beat sound of Fela Kuti with equal parts of Sun Ra and The Art Ensemble of Chicago to come up with something brand new and totally uncategorizable. Leader Elliot Bergman sees their music as a "transcendent, elemental sound-one that moves both bodies and spirits". Can't argue with that. Look closely and you'll see the highly esteemed local musician and producer Warn DeFever joining them on the bass drum for this session.

The Song grace, performed by the Wolfe tones. This is a song about Joeseph Plunkett one of the Leaders of the 1916 Rising, and one of the Proclamation of Independances Signnatries. He was sentenced to Death by the British for treason in May of 1916 for his part in the Rising. Before Sentence was carried out he married his girl friend in the Chapel of Kilmainham jail. Her name was Grace Gifford.
