Japanese regional legend "Awa Odori" - 48 sec Awa is the central area of Tokusima, Shikoku, Japan. Odori means Dance in Japanese. So Awa Odori is a kind of Dance parade festival around the Tokusima area in Japan. It's a kind of Bon Dance which has Buddhist origins for welcoming back the spirits of their ancestors in summer. The people celebrate the festival and continue dancing for four days from August 12 to 15 every year. Its a biggest historical summer festivel in Japan. The mens' dance is dynamic and energetic. In contrast, the womens' dance is fascinating and elegant.
