Call thy name at nightfall Reach out for thee life's rose Cast thy veils at sunset Trespass the waning in my halls Prosperous beauty Embraced by eden's heart Call thy name out tearful Reveal to me thy deepest loss Cast... make haste my savage wall for an end Thy savage... bleak night In life thy tears grow scarlet Come desired nightfall enchant my grievous loss Life bewailed at sunset Trespass the shadows in my heart Arise before me bequeath thy grievous loss Dark at heart I mourn thee Replace the vigour she once lost

Tristania - Beyond the Veil (with pictures) - 398 sec
Tristania is one of my favorite bands so I decided to make this video :) all pictures were found at gothicpictures.org and some are by Victoria Frances. Lyrics: Not fear, nor tears can reach me now the light seems so clear as the night fades away Behold of thy flame, below of all shame Come conquer me sweet dreams of paradise Dusk drawn hither to my evening star A glance in thy mirror The trance of thy mirror Venus... through the looking glass Dance so frail and lost in the fields afar Cast off thy mourning Clasp life and glory Venus... through the looking glass The sense of angels in veils of dawn Like she runs forever among thy halls The pale horizons are closing down The reasons for living are lost somehow Cross my heart with a glance upon the star of riddance Drift afar like teardrops on the Stygian River I'm the nightfall and wizard that summon thee You're the blizzard that drape my eyes I'm thy sorrow and vein of obscurity You're the dagger that cuts Shivers on the bleak horizon Profound words... you're my frailty See the light cease in thy life Profound words... hurting me

The Veil - 301 sec
Lyrics: The Veil They say, "Oh, poor girl, you're so beautiful you know It's a shame that you cover up your beauty so." She just smiles and graciously responds reassuringly, "This beauty that I have is just one simple part of me. This body that I have, no stranger has the right to see. These long clothes, this shawl I wear, ensure my modesty. Faith is more essential than fashion, wouldn't you agree? This hijab, This mark of piety, Is an act of faith, a symbol, For all the world to see. A simple cloth, to protect her dignity. So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity. They tell her, "Girl, don't you know this is the West and you are free? You don't need to be oppressed, ashamed of your femininity." She just shakes her head and she speaks so assuredly, "See the bill-boards and the magazines that line the check-out isles, with their phony painted faces and their air-brushed smiles? Well their sheer clothes and low cut gowns are really not for me. You call it freedom, I call it anarchy (mayhem)." This hijab, This mark of piety, Is an act of faith, a symbol, For all the world to see. A simple cloth, to preserve her dignity. So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity. Lift the veil from your heart and seek the heart of purity. "Say to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do. And say to the believing women that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that they should not display their beauty and ornaments except what (must ordinarily) appear thereof; that they should draw their veils over their bosoms and not display their beauty except to their husbands, their fathers, their husband's fathers, their sons, their husband's sons, their brothers, or their brothers sons, or their women, or their slaves whom their right hand possess, or male servants free of physical needs, or small children who have no sense of the shame of sex; and that they should not strike their feet in order to draw attention to their hidden ornaments. And O you believers! Turn all toward Allah that you may attain bliss" (Surat-un-Nur 24:30-31)

Prostitution Behind the Veil - 308 sec
Minna and Fariba are neighbours and good friend... (more) Added: September 29, 2007 Minna and Fariba are neighbours and good friends. They support one another. Both have to live under the pervasive curtailment of women's rights and the double standards of today's Iranian society. They make a living walking the streets looking for men. They have a choice between leaving their small children at home alone or bringing them along when they have sex with men. The film is a sympathetic portrait of the two women, exploring their day-to-day life and the workings of prostitution in a country that bans it and prosecutes adulterers, sometimes with the penalty of capital punishment. Many of the clients find a way to buy sex and still comply with Muslim law: they marry the women in what is called 'Sighe', a temporary marriage sanctioned in Shia Islam. Sighe can last from two hours up to 99 years. Both Minna and Fariba enter into Sighe with clients, and Fariba is in a Sighe marriage with a neighbour, Habib, that lasts six months. Giving his perspective on temporary marriage, Habib says that Sighe is a way to help poor women, it is an act of mercy in the name of Allah. The film follows the two women for more than a year. It describes their middle-class backgrounds and their submission to treacherous men and drugs. We see how Fariba manages to quit drugs and prostitution, only to find herself temporarily married to a man who will not let her leave the house. The film is narrated by the director, Nahid Persson, who fled Iran 20 years ago. Her commentary adds her perspective and contextual information to the film's events. An element of the film is the difficulties faced by a female director shooting a film. Filming prostitution in the street was hard and dangerous, as is evident in the film. The director has to submit to the same restraints as the film's two women in a ludicrously patriarchal society marked by religious restrictions, oppression of women, and social decline. The story of Minna and Fariba mirrors the greater story of Iranian society. It may sound in odds when one talks about pandemic presence of prostituion in Iran, especially in major cities like Tehran, considering strict Islamic laws ruling the country. But it is pervasive and occasionally, if you have your eyes open, you may spot a "pick up" on even busy streets although it should not be imagined as Thialand's Potpang district with girls servicing under the veils.

(Comment/Rate) Lyrics: Across the open fields, on burial ground Beside the ancient lake, through painful screams When pride of darkness rise, upon the sky We are marching, side by side A darkness feeling our pride The moonchild crying in the sky Screaming echos in the air Feel the burning flame inside A kiss of death I will receive For invoking melodies Evil spheres enclose my soul Awaiting (a) mournful symphony Shadows are grasping - devouring misery Shining of demons - destroying my faith From the darkest abyss Where the laughter pierce the air They arrive with thunderstorms form the sky Bloodred melodies When the silence crushed by dead As they riding through my soul and my fear Lying in the shadows In the place where roses die Dreaming beauty waiting for her bloodred kiss of death As the angels singing echos in the torpid sphere of dark Awaiting in the shadows Wolves running by my side Damnation reach the beauty Wept upon the waveless lake A velvet painting appearing On the bloodred moonlight sky Shadows are grasping - devouring misery Shining of demons - destroying my faith Through the spheres of pain Spirits running to the place As they hearing your screaming pain Serenades in red Darkness falls upon thy veil As they (are) whispering my name in the air Lying in the shadows In the place where roses die Dreaming beauty waiting for her bloodred kiss of death As the angels singing echos in the torpid sphere of night

One-eye veil. How would you feel if that was you? How would you feel if you had to wear that every day of your life? There's a new movement going on and it originated in Saudi Arabia, where they have decided that women act too seductively and wear make-up if they have two eyes. and so they've decided to cut it down to one. And I just wanted to know how you feel about that. What would you think would be a better solution maybe? Me, personally, I think its the guy's problem. Like, if you're tempted by seeing a women with two eyes (with everything else coveed up) then you're the one with the problem. In America, we're saturated with women on tv constantly in binkis and everything sexually, to us that's just an extreme. I just wanted to know what you thought about that. It's a pretty new thing going on. Also, something kinda related, in my class the other day, we watched a film called Fire. It's an Indian film. Basically, what it is... this is, there was a big spike of it in the '70s and '80s but it's calm down since then. The report says that 2,500 to 5,000 women are killed this way every year. Basically what happens is once they have exceeded their dowry and there is no more money to give out then its time for the guy to get a new wife. And so they have an accidental fire or a suicide in the kitchen where the woman is engulfed in flames. And that's sick. That's barbaric. Everything. How do you feel about that? Also, they had something where -- it's been going on for thousands of years, I suppose -- they throw the wife on the funereal pyre and, you know, to send her off with him. So she isn't a strain on the economy anymore. They banned that a long time ago. The last reported one in 1986 and that's really not that long ago. I don't know if you have heard of anything like that. That's what has been on my mind lately and I wanted to see what you guys thought.

Album : Tristania 1997 Lyric : Shadowcast upon my heart endark... thy bleak midwintertears condemned to mourn in silence The pale moonrise in her eyes Serene... like a frozen stream the flowing beauty in thy tears I crave for thee my once beloved Beyond... the veils of darkness lost where now thy roses wrapped in dusk Dark enchantress I suffer thy fullmoonnights Trespass my undesired darkness Tears... flowing through thy dreams Dark enchantress the seventh fullmoon rise I drown in dusk and dark rivers Summon all my dreams like roses on your epigraph written in my tears thy sorrow and my bleeding heart She comes so serene my fallen beauty crowned with leaves Take me to thy dream Thy candle will forever burn in me... Tristania Biography : Tristania was formed at the end of 1996 by Morten Veland, Einar Moen and Kenneth Olsson from the remains of their previous band Uzi Suicide. Later, Anders H. Hidle and Vibeke Stene joined the band, along with bassist Rune Osterhus. In May 1997 their first EP, Tristania, was released. The same year Tristania released its first full length album, Widow's Weeds. A year later, following the Angina single, they recorded their second full length album, titled Beyond the Veil, which is thought by many fans to be not only the best Tristania project but also the album which best represents the band's sound. The music is considered very atmospheric and full of deep melodic passion. Morten Veland was by then almost like a leader to the group, as he composed most of their works, wrote lyrics, played guitar and sang growling vocals. He was fired (according to his version of events) from the band after the release of Beyond the Veil due to what the remaining members refer to only as 'musical and social differences'. In 2001 their third album, World of Glass was released. This album was a little different in style and the departure of Veland was significant, as the sound of this album was a combination of typical 'Tristanian' sound. The growling vocals on this album were sung by Ronny Thorsen, a member of Trail of Tears, and the clean vocals were sung by Jan Kenneth Barkverd and ?sten Berg?y. Berg?y then joined the band as a permanent member, and so did Kjetil Ingebrethsen, who was in charge of singing growling vocals. Vibeke SteneWorld of Glass was released in September 2001, and the album represents the natural next step for the band, after Widow's Weeds and Beyond The Veil, and the band managed both to keep the 'tristanian' sound and the basic elements in the music, as well as to have development and natural progress. The musical diversity that always has been important for the band became even clearer with World of Glass. This album also included the first ever cover-version recorded by Tristania, called The Modern End, originally recorded by the legendary Norwegian band Seigmen. The band's latest album - Ashes (2005) - was the first of Tristania's albums on the SPV label after their contract with Napalm Records expired. The album takes the once heavily atmospheric gothic sound of the band and replaces it with a decidedly more progressive style. The choirs are gone, as are the more challenging vocal parts reminiscent of World of Glass and Beyond the Veil. Hidle and Einar Moen add their vocals to certain tracks on the album. Two of the songs were actually written by the Tristania.com webmaster, Kjartan Hermansen ('Libre' and 'Circus') while the song 'The Wretched' is based on 'Ascending: Descending' ? a poem by Hermansen. Also on Ashes, the violins of Pete Johansen ? which so often accompanied the previous Tristania albums ? were replaced by the cello melodies of Hans Josef Groh. The album marked a lyrical and musical simplification of the band from the days of Morten Veland, more so than the first album without Veland, World of Glass. The Ashes Tour in Europe (minus Einar Moen, who remained at home to work on more material for the band, but is still an active member) brought about another change for the band, the addition of a second guitarist ? Svein Terje Solvang ? who previously played with the band for touring purposes. His addition to the band as a permanent member in May 2005 is the first time Tristania has had a two-guitarist team since Beyond the Veil. In April 2006, Kjetil Ingebrethsen left Tristania to embark on a lower level musical career.

The Holy Quran Translation (Surah Qaf) (Abdinassir Geelle) - 527 sec
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. [1] Qaf. By the Glorious Qur-an (Thou art Allah's Apostle). [2] But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing!" [3] "What! when we die and become dust, (shall we live again?) That is a (sort of) Return far (from our understanding)." [4] We already know how much of them the earth takes away: with Us is a Record guarding (the full account). [5] But they deny the Truth when it comes to them: so they are in a confused state. [6] Do they not look at the sky above them? How We have made it and adorned it, and there are no flaws in it? [7] And the earth; We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and produced therein every kind of beautiful growth (in pairs), [8] To be observed and commemorated by every devotee turning (to Allah). [9] And We send down from the sky Rain charged with blessing, and We produce therewith Gardens and Grain for harvests; [10] And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another; [11] As sustenance for (Allah's) Servants; and We give (new) life therewith to land that is dead: thus will be the Resurrection. [12] Before them was denied (the Hereafter) by the People of Nuh, the Companions of the Rass, the Thamud, [13] The 'Ad, Fir'aun, the Brethren of Lut, [14] The Companions of the Wood, and the People of Tubba'; each one (of them) rejected the Messengers, and My warning was duly fulfilled (in them). [15] Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? [16] It was We Who created man, and We know what dark suggestions his soul makes to him: for We are nearer to him than (his) jugular vein. [17] Behold, two (guardian angels) appointed to learn (his doings) learn (and note them), one sitting on the right and one on the left. [18] Not a word does he utter but there is a sentinel by him, ready (to note it). [19] And the stupor of death will bring Truth (before his eyes): "This was the thing which thou wast trying to escape!" [20] And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). [21] And there will come forth every soul: with each will be an (angel) to drive, and an (angel) to bear witness. [22] (It will be said:) "Thou wast heedless of this, now have We removed thy veil, and sharp is thy sight this Day!" [23] And his Companion will say: "Here is (his record) ready with me!" [24] (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter, (of Allah)! [25] "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; [26] "Who set up another god beside Allah: throw him into a severe Penalty." [27] His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." [28] He will say: 'Dispute not with each other in My Presence: I had already in advance sent you Warning. [29] "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." [30] One Day We will ask Hell, "Art thou filled to the full?" It will say, "Are there any more (to come)?" [31] And the Garden will be brought nigh to the Righteous; no more a thing distant. [32] (A voice will say:) "This is what was promised for you, for everyone who turned (to Allah) in sincere repentance, who kept (His Law), [33] "Who feared (Allah) Most Gracious unseen, and brought a heart turned in devotion (to Him): [34] "Enter ye therein in Peace and Security; this is a Day of Eternal Life!" [35] There will be for them therein all that they wish, and more besides in Our Presence. [36] But how many generations before them did We destroy (for their sins); stronger in power than they? Then did they wander through the land: was there any place of escape (for them)? [37] Verily in this is a Message for any that has a heart and understanding or who gives ear and earnestly witnesses (the truth). [38] We created the heavens and the earth and all between them in Six Days, nor did any sense of weariness touch Us. [39] Bear, then, with patience, all that they say, and celebrate the praises of thy Lord, before the rising of the sun and before (its) setting, [40] And during part of the night, (also,) celebrate His praises and (so likewise) after the postures of adoration. [41] And listen for the Day when the Caller will call out from a place quite near, [42] The Day when they will hear a (mighty) Blast in (very) Truth: that will be the Day of Resurrection. [43] Verily it is We Who give Life and Death; and to Us is the Final Goal, [44] The Day when the Earth will be rent asunder, from (men) hurrying out: that will be a gathering together; quite easy for Us. [45] We know best what they say; and thou art not one to overawe them by force. So admonish with the Qur-an such as fear My Warning! By:Abdinassir Geelle

The veil or Head Scarf -- who is following the Laws of God , - 363 sec
The veil or Head Scarf -- who is following the Laws of God , Jews ,Christians or Muslims ? http://truereligiondebate.wordpress.com/ 1 Corinthians 11:13: "Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God (with her head) uncovered?" According to the Jewish Mishnah, for a woman to go about with uncovered hair represents unacceptable conduct. In fact, such behavior is so improper that it is considered sufficient grounds for a husband to divorce his wife without benefit f compensatory financial support (ketubah). M.Ketubot 7:6 "O; Prophet! Tell thy wives and thy daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks close round them (when they go outside). That will be better, that so they may be recognized and not molested". Holy Quran (33:59). Both Jews , Christians and Muslims calim to follow the Laws of one true God of Prophet Abraham but who is in truth following the laws of God ? The Jews, Christians or the Muslims ? One true God of Abrahim (P) whose religion the Jews , Christians and Muslims claim to follow is saying this Abraham was not a Jew nor yet a Christian but he was true in faith and bowed his will to Allah's (which is Islam) and he joined not gods with Allah(God). Qur'an 3: 67 If you reflect on the above verses of Quran with an open mind you will see the truth behind it , for Prophet Abrahim(p) was neither a Jew or Christian in fact he was the one who completely trusts and bows down to the will of God if you translate this description into Arabic you will get the word Muslim ( meaning the one who has surrendered himself to God) . 17 God heard the child crying, and the angel of God called from heaven to Hagar, What is the matter, Hagar? Do not be afraid: God has heard the child crying where you laid him.18 Go, lift the child (Ishmael) and hold him in your arms, because I shall make of him a great nation. Genesis 21:17-18 The last and final messenger of God sent to the entire humanity Prophet Muhammad(s) is a descendent of Prophet Ishmael (p) THINK ABOUT IT

Hijab Niqab Veil Burqa Parda 1 - 600 sec
This is a command from Allah to the believing women, and jealousy on His part over the wives of His believing servants. It is also to distinguish the believing women from the women of the Jahiliyyah and the deeds of the pagan women. The reason for the revelation of this Ayah was mentioned by Muqatil bin Hayyan, when he said: "We heard -- and Allah knows best -- that Jabir bin `Abdullah Al-Ansari narrated that Asma' bint Murshidah was in a house of hers in Bani Harithah, and the women started coming in to her without lower garments so that the anklets on their feet could be seen, along with their chests and forelocks. Asma' said: `How ugly this is!' Then Allah revealed: وَقُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنَـتِ يَغْضُضْنَ مِنْ أَبْصَـرِهِنَّ (And tell the believing women to lower their gaze) meaning, from that which Allah has forbidden them to look at, apart from their husbands. [Some] scholars said that it is permissible for women to look at non-Mahram men without desire, as it was recorded in the Sahih that the Messenger of Allah was watching the Ethiopians playing with spears in the Masjid on the day of `Id, and `A'ishah the Mother of the believers was watching them from behind him and he was concealing her from them, until she got bored and went away. وَيَحْفَظْنَ فُرُوجَهُنَّ (and protect their private parts). Sa`id bin Jubayr said: "From immoral actions.'' Abu Al-`Aliyah said: "Every Ayah of the Qur'an in which protecting the private parts is mentioned means protecting them from Zina, except for this Ayah -- (and protect their private parts), which means protecting them from being seen by anybody.'' وَلاَ يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلاَّ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا (and to draw their veils all over their Juyub) means that they should wear the outer garment in such a way as to cover their chests and ribs, so that they will be different from the women of the Jahiliyyah, who did not do that but would pass in front of men with their chests completely uncovered, and with their necks, forelocks, hair and earrings uncovered. So Allah commanded the believing women to cover themselves, as He says: يأَيُّهَا النَّبِىُّ قُل لاًّزْوَجِكَ وَبَنَـتِكَ وَنِسَآءِ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ يُدْنِينَ عَلَيْهِنَّ مِن جَلَـبِيبِهِنَّ ذلِكَ أَدْنَى أَن يُعْرَفْنَ فَلاَ يُؤْذَيْنَ (O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to draw their cloaks all over their bodies. That will be better, that they should be known, so as not to be annoyed) [33:59] And in this noble Ayah He said: وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ (and to draw their (Khumur) veils all over their Juyub) Khumur (veils) is the plural of Khimar, which means something that covers, and is what is used to cover the head. This is what is known among the people as a veil. Sa`id bin Jubayr said: وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ (and to draw) means to pull it around and tie it securely. بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ (their veils all over their Juyub) means, over their necks and chests so that nothing can be seen of them. Al-Bukhari recorded that `A'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, said: "May Allah have mercy on the women of the early emigrants. When Allah revealed the Ayah: وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ (and to draw their veils all over their Juyub), they tore their aprons and Akhtamar themselves with them.'' He also narrated from Safiyyah bint Shaybah that `A'ishah, may Allah be pleased with her, used to say: "When this Ayah: وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ (and to draw their veils all over their Juyub) was revealed, they took their Izars (waistsheets) and tore them at the edges, and Akhtamar themselves with them.'' وَلاَ يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلاَّ لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ أَبْنَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ إِخْوَانِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِى إِخْوَانِهِنَّ أَوْ بَنِى أَخَوَتِهِنَّ (and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband's fathers, or their sons, or their husband's sons, or their brothers or their brother's sons, or their sister's sons,) All of these are a woman's close relatives whom she can never marry (Mahram) and it is permissible for her to show her adornments to them, but without making a wanton display of herself. Ibn Al-Mundhir recorded that `Ikrimah commented on this Ayah, وَلاَ يُبْدِينَ زِينَتَهُنَّ إِلاَّ لِبُعُولَتِهِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآئِهِنَّ أَوْ ءَابَآءِ بُعُولَتِهِنَّ (and not to reveal their adornment except to their husbands, or their fathers, or their husband's fathers...), "The paternal uncle and maternal uncle are not mentioned here, because they may describe a woman to their sons, so a woman should not remove her Khimar in front of her paternal or maternal uncle.''With regard to the husband, all of this is for his sake, so she should try her best when adorning herself for him, unlike the way she should appear in front of others. أَوْ نِسَآئِهِنَّ
