The Ebayers have pointed out that this guitar originally had a painted finish. I removed the neck and discovered underneath that it used to be yellow. Neck date is 9-30-82.

Buck Owens playing at his Crystal Palace venue in Bakersfield. Buck played lead guitar with a style he created on the Fender Telecaster.
Initially Buck was a session guitarist at Capitol records in Hollywood.Then he was signed to a recording contract by Capitol and the rest is Legendary music history.
He later taught Don Rich his style. Buck and Don became the Lennon and McCartney of country music. They were really like two that became one when they were performing together.
The sound they created in country music or any kind of music has and will not be duplicated,they had a synergy that was Heaven sent!!Buck Owens music lives on in a slew of artists today, but there is nothing like the sound of Buck Owens and the Buckarooos in their prime.

This is a Squier Telecaster I found on sale at a dealer in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia. Frankly, I far prefer the neck on this guitar to any American Standard Telecasters I have played.
I purchased some dice knobs from eBay, bought a strap from an amazing manufacturer here in Nova Scotia, and insanely found a way to get the sound I wanted for this guitar from my acoustic amp!
This Telecaster is a Thinline, emulating the Fender Thinline Telecaster of late 1960s vintage. Apparently, the original Thinlines were popular with blues and jazz players in the day - for me the sound is still country-esque.
