Far from being an angry young man anymore, who writes songs about injustice, heartache, partying, and just plain saying F.U. to the system, I look at life through reading glases.
That doesn't change me as a person. It just changes the perspective I see things from. This song was inspired by my observations of the "MySpace" generation, and how I just don't get it.

| My Cover Version of Zeppelin's Immigrant Song - 153 sec
I used several tracks of the Cakewalk Rapture soft synth and two guitar tracks for this Led Zeppelin classic recorded in Sonar.
I used some vintage footage circa 60 years ago of a relative I never had the opportunity to meet, so I did a quick blue screen thing. The molecules of ice and snow back on those Swiss Alps might have evaporated to eventually float in the cloads reflected in the time lapse of the sky I made today.
Song is in F# Dorian Mode. The chords that start the verses are an Am barred at 5th fret slid down to E major then slid back up to Am. Chorus is A-B-C.

This is what I came up with: 130bpm, intro section = 9 measures, verse section = 8 measures, chorus section = 8 measures, post-chorus section = 8 measures, repeat starting at the verse, solo = 12 measures, big E chord 2 measures, then outro using the intro riff.

This experiment proved that swimming is faster than using a paddle. Song is a cover of some of Mountain's Mississippi Queen and a little of Jimi Hendrix's Third Stone From the Sun which is convenient since both songs are in E Mixolydian (major scale with a flat 7).
Midi drum is Sonar's Session Drummer, Bass is Rapture soft synth, the rest is a couple live guitar tracks through a POD.

One of my more notable You Tube experiences as of late -- was receiving a PM from legendary You Tube great Greg Sol-o-mon asking for clarification regarding a comment I made in which I state -- That way back when, Eden Maze sent me an unusual PM
I explained to Greg that it was a silly e-argument of sorts -- At that time, I had denied being a YT attention seeker -- But everyone on You Tube is an attention seeker Mr. Maze reports -- I did not concur, I prefer to refer to myself as a filmmaker
Eden Maze promptly blocked me and I blocked him I admit -- Not long before I SOLD OUT -- Mr. Maze sent me a PM from a sock account -- He was unblocking me because he felt that any and all comments -- Were ultimately to his financial benefit
I still have Mr. Maze blocked to thwart -- Weird PMs and in solidarity with those whose priority is art -- Just as NewWarriorMan supports poetry -- On second thought maybe art IS creating something out of nothing for money

The song was an exercise in the Frank Gambale concept in understanding modes by using chord progressions that use the 4 and 5 chords of the major scale on which the mode is based. Example, C Phrygian uses the notes of Ab Ionian. The 4 and 5 of Ab are Db and Eb. Those chords are played while the lead work is C Phrygian and the bass is in C. This mode creates tension. Hopefully, it is noticeable when the mode changes to C Dorian and the chords change to the 4 and 5 of Bb to relieve the tension.
