Fecha: 9 de junio 2007, Lugar: Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff. Me pareció increible. Sucedió que en un programa estilo American Idol, algo así como un Camino a la fama pero Britanico; se presentó un gordito tímido llamado Paul Potts, que fisicamente estaba entre los treinta u cuarenta años. Era un aficionado, que solia cantar para sus amigos y trabajaba en un almacén... Dijo que esa noche iba a participar cantando una opera; a algunos les pareció extraño porque los que suelen participar en esos programas son cantantes tipo pop. Y los jueces se miraron y dijeron, vale, pues, canta. Entonces el hombre cantó y sucedió algo que no suele ser usual. A lo mejor y también te conmueves.

- Paul has performed in just 4 four productions with this company
- Paul has attended some masterclasses in Italy. These courses are designed for talented amateurs. All of these are paid for by those attending.
- A few masterclasses, even one with the great man do not constitute "a formal opera training" by any stretch of the imagination.
- Professional opera singers earn their living by treading the boards night after night week-in week-out, year after year with professional opera companies.
- Paul, has never earned a single penny from opera performance, other than winning a tv talent show in 1999 - the winnings funding masterclasses.
- Paul has not performed since 2003.
- He is not a professional opera singer pretending to be a mobile phone sales man, but rather he is a mobile phone salesman aspiring to be an opera singer.
- An operatic voice IS a trained voice.
Hmmmm, perhaps if I can buy a few classes at a pro cookery school, I can pass myself off as a highly experienced pro chef.....hmmmmm......

1. The video took two months to film and edit.

3. Nothing is fake and no green screens were used. The only computer animated part was the letters falling on the page.
4. Yes, we really did jump all those times.
5. I edited it with Final Cut Pro
6. The camera we used was a Canon GL1 with both digital stills being taken, and footage being shot.
