CRACK WAS NINETY IN THE ISLE OF MAN - 163 sec
CRACK WAS NINETY IN THE ISLE OF MAN SUNG BY THE DUBLIN CITY RAMBLERS...Lyrics Ah weren't we the rare oul' stock? Spent the evenin' gettin' locked In the Ace of Hearts Where the high stools were engaging, Over the Butt Bridge, down by the dock The boat she sailed at five o'clock "Hurry on lads", said Whack, Or before we're there we'll all be back Sayin' carry him if you can, Oh the Crack was Ninety in the Isle of Man. Before we reached the Alexander Base A hell of a ding dong we did raise In the bar of the ship we had great sport As the boat she sailed out from the port Landed up in the Douglas Head Enquiring for a vacant bed. To the dining room got shown By a decent woman up the road. Sayin',"Ate that if you can," The Crack was Ninety in the Isle of Man. Next morning went for a ramble round To see the sights of Douglas Town. All went in for a mighty session In a pub they call Dick Darbies. All got drunk by half-past three; To sober up went swimmin' in the sea Back to the digs for the spruce up While waitin' for the rosie Ah we all drew up our plan The Crack was Ninety in the Isle of Man. That night we went to the Texas Bar Came back down by horse and car. Met Big Jim and all went in To drink some wine in Yate's. The Liverpool girls, it was said, Were all to be found in the Douglas Head McShane was there in a tie and shirt And the foreign quarewans he tried to flirt, Sayin' "Here girls, I'm your man," The Crack was Ninety in the Isle of Man. Whacker fancied his good looks; With an Isle of Man woman he was struck. But a Liverpool lad was by her side. And he throwin' 'the jar into her.' Whacker thought he'd take a chance, He asked the quare one out to dance. Round the floor they stepped it out To Whack it was no bother. Everythin' was goin' to plan Oh The Crack was Ninety in the Isle of Man. Well the Isle of Man woman fancied Whack, But your man stood there till his mates came back Whack! they all whacked into Whack And Whack was whacked out on his back. The police force arrived as well, Banjoed a couple of them, I'll tell, Ended up in the Douglas jail, Until the Dublin boat did sail, Deported every man, The Crack was Ninety in the Isle of Man. .................

Stephens Design Pickups Pig Ninety P-90 Style - 267 sec
There's alot of P-90 type pickups built into humbucker covers but they all suffer from being to shrill, sounding like cheap strat pickups. With a wider magnetic aperture the Pigs produce a very authentic fat P-90 tone. Demonstrated by Vyasa Dodsun of the Insomniacs through his vintage 2x12 Magnatone. The Insomniacs will shortly be on tour to support their new release Left Coast Blues, check their schedule at MySpace: http://www.myspace.com/insomniacsblues Enjoy DA PIGS!!!!

Ninety Years Without Slumbering 1/3 - 502 sec
The Twilight Zone (S5 Ep132) Original airdate: Dec 20, 1963 Sam Forstmann is an old man who thinks he will die if his grandfather clock stops ticking. He spends all of his time working on the clock, upsetting his family with his obsession. He speaks with a psychologist and reveals his fear. The psychologist advises him to sell the clock.. (opening narration) Each man measures his time; some with joy, some with fear. But Sam Forstmann measures his alotted time by a grandfather's clock, a unique mechanism whose pendulum swings between life and death, a very special clock that keeps a special kind of time--in the Twilight Zone.. (closing narration) Clocks are made by men, God creates time. No man can prolong his alotted hours, he can only live them to the fullest--in this world or in the Twilight Zone.. The title is a quote from the old song "My Grandfather's Clock". The full verse reads: Ninety years without slumbering, Tick, tock, tick, tock, His life seconds numbering, Tick, tock, tick, tock, It stopped short Never to go again, When the old man died. James Callahan later starred as "Grandpa Walter Powell" on the TV series Charles In Charge.

"The Ninety and Nine", Edison Mixed Quartette - 292 sec
Blue Amberol Special D. [Take 2, Mould 11]. "The Ninety and Nine" (Ira David Sankey), Edison Mixed Quartette. First year of issue: 1913. (Special Blue Amberol released for promotional purposes.) Played on my Amberola 50. Thank you to Kspm01 for calling to my attention this-the story of "The Ninety and Nine" Lyrics: Elizabeth C. Clephane, 1868. Music.: Ira D. Sankey, Sacred Songs and Solos, 1874. Sankey found the words in a British paper while on an evangelism tour in Scotland. He forgot about the text. Later that day, he found it back in his pocket and was inspired for his first composition. Thus was born "The Ninety and Nine." You can read more here: http://www.cyberhymnal.org/htm/n/i/90_and_9.htm Please check it out. Lyrics from the above site: There were ninety and nine that safely lay In the shelter of the fold. But one was out on the hills away, Far off from the gates of gold. Away on the mountains wild and bare. Away from the tender Shepherd's care. Away from the tender Shepherd's care. "Lord, Thou hast here Thy ninety and nine; Are they not enough for Thee?" But the Shepherd made answer: "This of Mine Has wandered away from Me; And although the road be rough and steep, I go to the desert to find My sheep, I go to the desert to find My sheep." But none of the ransomed ever knew How deep were the waters crossed; Nor how dark was the night the Lord passed through Ere He found His sheep that was lost. Out in the desert He heard its cry, Sick and helpless and ready to die; Sick and helpless and ready to die. "Lord, whence are those blood drops all the way That mark out the mountain's track?" "They were shed for one who had gone astray Ere the Shepherd could bring him back." "Lord, whence are Thy hands so rent and torn?" "They are pierced tonight by many a thorn; They are pierced tonight by many a thorn." And all through the mountains, thunder riven And up from the rocky steep, There arose a glad cry to the gate of Heaven, "Rejoice! I have found My sheep!" And the angels echoed around the throne, "Rejoice, for the Lord brings back His own! Rejoice, for the Lord brings back His own!" This was one of ten Special Blue Amberol Records sold with the Amberol gear change kits. "This beloved old hymn, which has been sung at revival meetings in every quarter of the civilized world, is here given a masterful and impressive rendition. Added dignity and reverence are imparted to it by the manner in which these four trained vocalists have sung its well-known lines, their voices blending throughout in the sweetest harmony imaginable."
