On different Gurpurbs and special days in Sikh history Guru Simran Kaur organizes fun educational things for the kids to do, so that they can learn about Sikh history and about the Gurus. In Nov. 2001, a few months after Narayan was born I recorded a series of stories that we had over a few nights.
Guru Meher Kaur (Mataji) who is our Gurdwara/Ashram Secretary loves to tell Sikh stories to the children here in our community and has been doing so for many many years. Here is the first part of the Stories of Guru Nanak; in honor of the upcoming Birthday of Guru Nanak Dev ji.
Keep in mind that these stories are meant for the children...so if you have kids you can get them to watch it online or download the video to watch.

Tonight I am posting the next video of stories about Guru Nanak, told by Guru Meher Kaur to the children.
When I was little....I used to fall asleep to the stories told by Guruliv Singh. You can hear them in the Gurbani Archive listed under his name. These are some stories made way back in the late 1970's. Narayan Singh now has the same routine of listening to the stories at bedtime. He always says after getting ready for bed, "I want to hear the Guru Stories!". Some of the stories are: Story Of Babaa Deep Singh, The Guru And The Pandit, Makkan Shah And Guru Teg Bahaadar Sahib. There are about 11 stories that he must have heard hundreds of times now...and even copies some of the lines.
It made me think that it would be great to create some more stories for children. It is a great way to teach the kids about our history. I'm surprised that no one else has done this (at least that I know of). Audio stories would be much easier to make too than a cartoon. There really are not many educational materials for kids other than a few books.
So...this is the reason why I pulled out these Guru Nanak stories to share with other kids and for Narayan to enjoy too. Maybe one of these days I can work on a story telling project with some others who are interested. We'll see how it goes. All these late nights working on this stuff takes a toll after a while. Time for some rest this weekend (this is sounding familiar).

| Satguru or Christ Arjun Dev Ji - Fifth Nanak. - 595 sec
As the name of Satguru Arjun Dev Ji implies; Arjun stands for Silver and Dev, a perfect in moral laws or a Devta. He was the fruit of spiritual progression from Satguru Angad Dev Ji to the greatest spiritual heights to become a Specialist of the same standing as Satguru Nanak Dev Ji was. As a Specialist knows the value of another Specialist, that is why Satguru Arjun Dev Ji proclaimed ?SABHH TAE WADAH SATGUR NANAK JINN KAL RAKHI MERI?. That is of all the Preachers or Christs of the world, Satguru Nanak Dev Ji was the greatest of all who came in this world to look after or take care of people suffering in Kalyug. Kalyug is well known for injustices and atrocities. A Khatri named Chandu whose surname is kept secret by the Khatris organised or planned the torture. How Satguru Arjun Dev was tortured to death also represents the extremes of atrocities? In the hottest month of June when hardly any one would dare to come out in the soaring hot sun bare headed, Satguru Arjun Dev Ji was made to sit on a hot iron plate with hot sand pouring over his head. He was tortured for some say five days and His body was full of blisters. Satguru Arjun Dev Ji never complained to God and took His Will with pleasure. Here it is worth mentioning that Christ Jesus did the same and He never complained to God but these anti christ priests have expressed in such ways as Why have you forsaken me Father, etc of their own. Saint Mian Mir visited Satguru Arjun Dev Ji to sympathise but he was assured that let the Will of God take its shape. Satguru Arjun Dev Ji even sang some hymns in praise of our Father. As Jesus had stressed that one has to take ones own Cross if he wants to preach Gospel, so greater the Christ or Satguru, greater the torture expected. The intensity of torture also confirms the Greatness of Christ Arjun Dev Ji. Afterwards He was taken to River Ravi for a cold bath so that blistered body may experience further pain and he went into the River willingly and disappeared in its waters. Now, Remember Pilate washed his hands in the presence of Sun that stands for God that he has nothing to do with Christ Jesus and let the Jews do whatever they want to do. I will present a separate video why Christ Jesus had the inscriptions King of the Jews put on his cross. Here it was the Chandu Khatri who was to be blamed for the torture and death of Satguru Arjun Dev Ji but the clever Khatris want the blame to be shifted on to Emperor Jahangir. But Sachae Patshah Har Gobind Ji punished the right culprit and His Judgement was not flawed as could be of the secular Kings. Satguru Arjun Dev Ji compiled the hymns of all the Saints and Satgurus Ji as the Khatris were twisting the True versions, which they have done today. The present Birrs read in Gurdwaras are highly corrupt and for this a Book by Prof. Jodh Singh should be read. German Professor Trump also read the Original Birr alongwith Prof. Jodh Singh, a Khatri. Khatris top the list of sons of Satan and I will make a separate video on this topic. God bless you.
