This video was shot in Branson, Missouri on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 between 5pm and 6pm Central Time. Opening sequence was shot at Lakeside RV Park (aka: Branson City Campground) located just south of the Branson Landing (where the Business 65 bridge crosses over Lake Taneycomo). As you can see, Lake Taneycomo has risen over its banks and spilled into the small flood plain where this campground is located.
Next sequence was shot at Stockstill Park. The raging torrent is the normally-docile Roark Creek. If you look closely, you can see that Roark Creek has also spilled over its northern banks (opposite bank from where I shot this) and is flooding a small portion of the park near one of the baseball fields.
According to National Weather Service Radar estimates, Branson and surrounding areas have received between 6 to 10 inches of rain in the past 24 hours.

Families in some areas of Metro St Louis have been forced from their homes multiple times in the past few years, making the routine of filling sandbags and rescuing furniture into a familiar drill.
Today, the first day of spring brought much-needed sunshine to some flooded communities, but many swelling rivers were not expected to crest until the weekend in Arkansas, Missouri, southern Illinois, southern Indiana and Kentucky.
More than 70 counties in Missouri have been declared disaster areas.
The worst flooding happened in smaller rivers across the nation's midsection. Major channels such as the Mississippi, Missouri and Ohio rivers saw only minor flooding.
In Fenton, dozens of volunteers filled sandbags and piled them against downtown businesses near the fast-rising Meramec River, which was expected to reach more than 20 feet above flood stage in some spots.
Forecasters say heavy winter snow coupled with the recent rain means the worst is yet to come.

Heavy rain is causing flash flooding in parts of Missouri and has closed some highways.
In Cass County, Route E north of Strasburg has been closed due to high water from Big Creek.
"It's not surprising. No, it happens too many times," said Jay Ware, who lives near Big Creek. "It happens anytime you get a pretty good rain. And, you know, we've had a pretty good rain today."
"Every time we get, I don't know, 3 or 4 inches of rain, it floods," another resident told KMBC's Martin Augustine.
The Missouri Department of Transportation also closed Highway 58 in Strasburg because of rising water.
In Johnson County, Route 23 at Blackwater River, about five miles south of Concordia, has been closed.
In northern Boone County, secondary roads between Sturgeon and Centralia are covered with up to 1 foot of water. The National Weather Service said the area has received 1 to 2 inches of rain since early Monday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning for several counties in Missouri and Kansas. (See All Severe Weather Alerts)
It is not recommended for motorists to drive through water that covers a road because it's difficult to judge how deep the water is.

From an underground office near the Missouri Capitol, Monica Boone desperately tries to give away money to unsuspecting people.
"I've been called Santa Claus, Ed McMahon, a gift from God," Boone said.
KMBC's Jim Flink reported that there are millions of dollars in unclaimed money in Kansas and Missouri.Kansas City's Bill Shapiro said he was skeptical when he received a call.
"I mean, I certainly wasn't expecting a phone call saying, 'You have money waiting for you,'" Shapiro said. "It goes back 30 years. It's not hundreds of thousands of dollars, but it's still meaningful money."
On this day, Missouri State Treasurer Sarah Steelman filtered through the unclaimed items in one of her vaults.
"Now, why would anyone put an electric razor in their safe deposit box?" Steelman said.
The contents range from the eclectic to the exquisite. But they also are just 1 percent of what the state is holding.
