Recorded on a Gibson SG special Using a Digitech GRUNGE Pedal, on a small 15watt practice amp.
P.S. Yes, i do have bright red socks on, and I'm in my girlfriends room, i dont have purple walls and heart shaped knobs on my drawers.

This is a rough idea for a song I wrote when I was in a metalcore band. As the date states, this was in 2006. I always get comments on people bashing me claiming that Metalcore is shit. Before you leave a comment like that let me state this since you all obviously don't read comments. I AGREE (well for the most part)! MOST metalcore does suck. I don't listen to a lot of metalcore. I listen to european/european influenced melodic death metal (be that of a folk nature, or gothenberg or whatever). There are a few metalcore bands that I like, however, I would label them as melodic death with the occasional breakdown. I am a FIRM believer that metalcore is a more simplistic, dumbed down, grooved based rip off of melodic death, with breakdowns in place of most solos. I am tired of everyone saying metalcore sucks or oh, you ripped off melodic death, or oh, this sounds like KsE or AILD. In fact, it was meant to sound like Darkest Hour. I am also tired of everyone saying that this is completely unoriginal. Well no shit Sherlock. It wasn't meant to be original, it was meant to be very industry standard for what was popular at the time. Oh, and to all you jackasses looking for originallity. Good luck. Nothing is original anymore. Someone somewhere has already done it. It just may or may not be popular and you may or may not be aware of it. Inspiration comes from internal and external influences.
Here is the gear I used for this shitty recording: ESP Eclipse with a Seymour Duncan 18v Metal Livewire humbucker in the bridge and a Seymour Duncan passive Full Shred humbucker in the neck. (I used the Livewire for this whole recording tho). I played through a Marshall MG15DFX practice amp. It was recording using the built in webcam/mic on my Mac. My good equipment is at my guitarists house where the band practices.
Lastly, try and ignore my dog. I noticed that she walked into the frame a few times. LOL. Feel free to comment. I would prefer constructive criticism over the picayune bashing that occurs on YouTube. I don't claim to be the best, nor cleanest, guitar player alive. I just have fun.

As the name says, this is the metalcore song that I posted before... only difference is I am playing the second guitar harmony along with the first video. I am sorry if you can't hear it all that well... that is what happens when you record a video of you playing along to a video on your comp. LOL.
As for the second harmony, I know I go off in a few spots... right around 1:10 or so is the main ear sore... so please excuse my shitty playing. At this current moment in time, my judgment isn't the best, and while I think the video is ok enough to be posted... I might just be delusional. I am pretty damn sick and out of it so please let me know if it sucks so I can re-do the video. Last thing I want is a shitty video for all you Youtubers. hehe
