| Sudan Massacre - 1228 sec 1st May 1991
The rebel SPLA movement has been fractured by a split in its leadership encouraged by Khartoum and has now disintegrated along tribal lines.
The Nuer and Dinka tribes - at peace with each other for many years - are now at war. We go into the marshes of southern Sudan - home of the Dinka - to witness the trail of death caused by the new fighting. On the edge of the marshland a vulture picks at a human corpse. The more fortunate subsist on a barely edible paste made from water lily seeds. Includes interviews with SPLA leader Colonel John Gurang and Commander Riak Machar, leader of the breakaway rebels. We look at the aftermath of the genocide which left Rwanda deserted. A skeleton lies in the doorway of an empty home, and in a local hospital wounded children pour out their stories of machete attacks and murder. As a blank-faced woman sits silently nearby, an aid worker tells how she escaped the killing by lying amongst dead bodies for a week. Rwandan Patriotic Front members explain their plans for the future of Rwanda. Their mood is one of reconciliation. In addition to the Army of Republika Srpska, a paramilitary unit from Serbia known as the "Scorpions" participated in the massacre.
The Srebrenica massacre is the largest mass murder in Europe since World War II.[7] In the unanimous ruling "Prosecutor v. Krstic", the Appeals Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY), located in The Hague, ruled that the Srebrenica massacre was an act of genocide, the Presiding Judge Theodor Meron stating:
By seeking to eliminate a part of the Bosnian Muslims [Bosniaks], the Bosnian Serb forces committed genocide. They targeted for extinction the forty thousand Bosnian Muslims living in Srebrenica, a group which was emblematic of the Bosnian Muslims in general. They stripped all the male Muslim prisoners, military and civilian, elderly and young, of their personal belongings and identification, and deliberately and methodically killed them solely on the basis of their identity.
The Srebrenica massacre was also confirmed as a case of genocide in the ICTY judgement "Prosecutor v. Blagojevic " and in the International Court of Justice judgement "Bosnia and Herzegovina v. Serbia and Montenegro".
The United Nations had previously declared Srebrenica a UN protected "safe area", but they did not prevent the massacre, even though 400 armed Dutch peacekeepers were present at the time. The massacre included several instances where preteen children, women, and elderly civilians were also killed. The list of people missing or killed in Srebrenica compiled by the Federal Commission of Missing Persons so far includes 8,373 names. Japanse Atrocities in Asia. Part I of 2. This documentary is based on 20 years research and consists entirely of archival photos and film-clips. This film begins with an overview of Japan and China at the beginning of the 20th Century, explains the mind-set of the Japanese and their God, Hirohito, and then continues with the invasion of China, the crimes committed by the Japanese (during the Fall) on the road to Nanjing, Nanjing Massacre, the rape of the Philipines, Unit 731, the Baatan death camps, Japanese denials, and the dropping of the A-bomb on Japan.
The purpose of this film is educational, and to explain the mind-set that led to a horrible crime: the torture and murder of 280,000 civilians by Japanese soldiers who took great pleasure in raping, bayonetting, beheading and burning people alive. We wish to emphasize: These crimes took place throughout Asia, and the Japanese planned the same for the White races as well, including America.
Those who do not learn from the past, are condemned to repeat it. The purpose of this film is, thus, educational. We have no hatred for the Japanese people.
This documentary is an independent production. We are not associated with and never received any financial help from the Chinese government or any group or organization. The film is completely independent. We have no political motives. We have no purpose and no other goal other than to create an interesting, provocative, educational movie that speaks to the mind and intellect, and which can speak to the heart and one'e emotions.

ABOUT TED LEONSIS: We sent a VHS copy of this film and a marketing plan to the top executives at many internet companies including AOL and Ted Leonsis in the summer of 2005. We believe that Leonsis stole our idea for this film and then stole our marketing plan. People we later learned were working for Leonsis falsely pretended to represent us and our film and then stole over $25,000 in donated production funds then harassed and threatened our co-producer Haiyan Wu. Those organizing showings of our film in China were even threatened, even though our film was being praised by all the major newspapers and media in China, including the Communist mouth piece, The People's Daily. Who benefited by the attempts to stop our film? Ted Leonsis.
Nevertheless, our film was shown in Nanking in December of 2007, the 70th anniversary of the Rape of Nanking. Unlike the Leonsis film which failed in Nanking, the showing of our film was a tremendous success and the theater was packed and people stood and lined the walls. A second showing in Wuhan China was even more successful. Whereas, in China, the Leonsis film was shown largely to empty seats, over 1,800 people showed up to watch our film in Wuhan and 300 had to be turned away.
Don't be fooled by Leonsis.
China Central TV called our film "the best... most influential film ever made on this tragedy."
Indeed, our film has been viewed an estimated 10 million times world wide, 100s of copies of this film are hosted on Chinese websites, and it has been viewed over 5 million times in the US. I already saw some versions of this trailer here on YouTube, but they were shorter and showed less footage of the movie, so I posted this one. (This trailer comes from the Apple Trailers website, and is not made by me)
The songs played at the beginning is called 'Song to the Siren' originally by Jeff/Tim (thanks PinkCloud37) Buckley, but most famously covered by a 1980's goth band named "This Mortal Coil", but the version in this trailer was recorded by a girl from a band called "Moneypenny" in the WB studio and isn't available for download anywhere, nor has it been released on CD.
The song at the end of the trailer is called "Signal to Noise" by Peter Gabriel, from the Gangs of New York OST, but it's a remade version for this movie...
The story was based on a man called "Ed Gein" but he didn't use a chainsaw. The cannibalistic familiy depicted here never existed!!! Some proof here: http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=MCuTm31z7ck . Hopefully this will stop the fighting on my video page...
Enjoy! :-)
