Classic Game Room HD reviews the controller for the Magnavox Odyssey video game system. Actually it's more like a computer than a video game console... in some ways. It has a keyboard built into the thing, and that makes it cool. The single button joystick controller feels like one of those really old school 1980's computer joysticks. Super spring loaded, has an action button. Works well and is physically hard wired into the O2 game system. Take that Atari! You have to plug joysticks into the Atari 2600, not so with the massive Maggie. Games like K.C. Munchkin kick ass with these awesome controllers. See their super close up detailed featured with the CHRHD-MightyMacro function. You can watch other videos where they show close ups of half naked beautiful women in their underwear or bikinis... or you can watch this video with super close ups of a 30 year old joystick. It's really your choice. Those women are probably phonies anyway. This controller is the real deal. Does not work with newer consoles like the Playstation 3 PS3, PS2, Wii or Xbox 360, primarily because these controller are literally stuck for all time to the O2. You see, they can't be unplugged. No matter what. Not even hot chicks with their clothes off can unplug them because they don't have plugs. Even if the girls are on swings or dancing on the bar, they can't do it. This is retro old school arcade action. If you want girls in lingere then hopefully you didn't end up here. Although maybe the Magnavox Odyssey 2 is enjoyed by models and actresses and exotic dancers... who can say? The O2 is pretty awesome.

Part 1 of 2. Classic Game Room was the FIRST classic video game review show on the Internet in 1999. Returning in 2008 with new episodes, Classic Game Room breaks out a review of K.C. MUNCHKIN for the Magnavox Odyssey 2 video game console. This is awesome old school gaming at its finest! KC Munchkin was actually pulled from the shelves because it was too similar to Pac Man! When you see the game you'll believe it, but it also has so many improvements over Pac Man that it's a completely different game. Pac Man by Namco in the arcade is a classic video game loved by millions. Pac Man for the Atari 2600 is a laughable pile of rubbish partially responsible for the great video game crash of 1983. KC Munchkin is a great video game and makes use of some awesome features on the Philips Videopac G7000 as it was called in the UK. KC Munchkin eats Munchies and is chased by Munchers, not the ghosts and power pellets we're used to in Ms. Pac Man. This game was released in 1981 for the O2 and was pulled from the market after legal issues. There are still many cartridges of the game out there, which are easy and affordable to come by. This game features several versions of mazes like invisible maze levels, and a map making maze creating program mode... on a video game from 1981!!!!!!! They can't even give you that in Halo 3 today. KC Munchkin will probably remain an obscure game forever since the O2 is long deceased, but it is worth finding at auction and totally fun to play. If you like Pac Man and Lock 'n Chase you'll absolutely love the gameplay in this game as seen in the footage. This is just a simple video showing a working Magnavox CD-100 Compact Disc Player (This American version is actually Model# FD1000). This is one of the first CD Players available that was released in the early 1980's.
Nearly 25 years later, this thing is still going strong. I would like to see CD Players of today do that!
The audio was recorded Directly from the player to the computer, so there are no Speakers or Microphones used in the recording of this demonstration.

I'm experiencing Loud humming noises right after initial turn-on, and even while playing music. Also loud crackling noises are heard. I would love to repair this CD Player, if only I knew how.

Another nostalgic collection.
This (along with the Atari 2600) is another game console that I had when I was little (actually it was my brothers) but it eventually got destroyed. And just like the Atari 2600, I ordered another Odyssey 2 from Amazon, and then ordered a bunch of games for it from ebay. So I retrieved yet another lost piece of my childhood.
I've had this Odyssey 2 ever since before Christmas of 2007, and I still never even hooked it up to see if it worked. I guess my main mission was just to GET IT. The one that my brother owned when I was a child was actually found at a dump. I can't believe that people throw things like this in the trash. It makes me wish I could go to the dump just to search for games and accessories. But the stupid care takers at the dumps won't let you look. I guess it's for the best, since dumps have a lot of filth and diseases. Yuck!
When I was a kid, our local dump allowed us to look. But rules have changed throughout the years.
The games that were my childhood favorites were Monkey Shines, The Quest For The Rings (though I never really played it correctly), Showdown in 2100 A.D., and K.C. Munchkin. Ah, there's something about K.C. Munchkin that totally makes me feel nostalgic just thinking about it. It makes me feel like a little kid again.
This console was so awesome back in it's day. The only thing that sucks about this console is the fact that the controls are plugged in on the "INSIDE" of the console. I just found this out myself. DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR ODYSSEY 2 CONSOLE JUST BECAUSE THE CONTROL STOPS WORKING! TAKE THE SYSTEM APART AND REPLACE THE CONTROL. Don't be like my brother was and throw away the entire system.

Also known as the Philips Videopac G7000, this classic retro arcade style old school game system has some real gems. Is Alien Invaders Plus one of them? At first glance this game looks a lot like Space Invaders, the 1980's arcade classic, and made even more popular on the Atari 2600. It's got a lot in common with Space Invaders and Demon Attack, but is also very different. Sure you shoot aliens with laser beams and stuff like that, but the scoring is different, the gameplay and footage are different, the graphics are a bit sharper but other things aren't as good... basically it's different. A worthy old school classic video game though and one to add to your Magnavox Odyssey 2 collection if you have one. This game is not available on any other game consoles, like Colecovision, Atari 7800, Wii, Xbox 360 XBLA or Playstation 3 PS3. The O2 was called the Philips Videopac G7000 in Europe and Speedway was called Race or RACE! and came bundled with 2 other games on the same cartridge called Spin-Out and Crypto-Logic. This game is really old fashioned and if you're a hip, dope down retro gamer you know it be from all the way back in 1978. Play with your Magnavox Odyssey 2 joystick and rock out to the soundtrack of cars driving and crashing into each other. How does this compare to Gran Turismo 5, Forza 2 and F1 Championship? Well, not so realistic. However, I do like it better than Ridge Racer 7. There's no irritating chick telling me I'm "SLIPSTREAMING" every second. "Shut the F up!!!" Yes, Speedway is comfortable and familiar with its old school silece, and I love it for that. It's a game that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike, assuming you have a working Magnavox Odyssey 2. I don't think it has racing wheel support. I doubt you'll see it on the Playstation 3, PS3, PS2, Xbox 360 Live Arcade or Wii any time soon either... sadly. Do you collect old games from back in the day? These are very different from cartridges that you might find for the Atari 2600, 5200 or 7800 systems. For one thing they have giant handles on them, and that's awesome. This makes them easy to carry around with you, wear as an accessory or pull out of the game system if you've been playing with mustard. The Maggie O2 is a great game system with some fun games like KC Munchkin!, Speedway! and CRYPTO-LOGIC! It's a good thing they made this handy cartridge design, too bad it didn't catch on. Games for the PS3, Playstation 3, Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, Xbox 360 or Gamecube could have benefitted from this amazing handle clad cartridge. This isn't a commercial for the Odyssey or a review of any particular gameplay or footage, this is a straight up review of the design of the plastic cartridge. Only on CGRHD will you see crap like this.

BUT THE AMP FUNCTIONS PERFECTLY AND THE TAPE DECK IS FROM THE EARLY 90'S BUT IS LOW HOUR AND HAVE THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING FOR IT.
THE SPEKERS ARE JENSEN. THE ONES IN THE CENTER ARE NEW OLD STOCK AND WERE MADE FOR PA SYSTEM APPLICATIONS. I JUST REMOVED THE TRANSFORMERS AND SOLD THEM FOR WHAT I HAD IN THE SET (WOW)
THE OTHERS ARE BRAND NEW 105 WATT JENSENS.
EVERYTHING YOU SEE HERE WAS WON ON EBAY EXCEPT FOR THE TAPE PLAYING. (SMALL SQUARE RACK AT WAL-MART)
