Op zondag 30 november aanstaande krijgt het concept van Slamm, Nederland vs Thailand weer een spectaculair vervolg in het topsportcentrum van Almere.
Centraal gelegen in Nederland wordt dit topsportcentrum (volgens velen de mooiste sportaccommodatie van Nederland) weer omgetoverd tot een professionele vechtsportarena voorzien van de allernieuwste technische snufjes en showeffecten.
In tegenstelling tot de alsmaar stijgende toegangsprijzen voor grote vechtsportrgalas laat Slamm de prijs van de kaartjes dalen! Voor €. 35,- kunt u genieten van spetterende sensationele thaiboks en K-1 gevechten van wereldniveau! Een unieke kans om de grootheden uit deze sport live aan het werk te zien!
Aan de matchmaking is ook dit keer weer de grootste zorg besteed. Slamm onderhoud een exclusieve relatie met de WBC muaythai bond, s-Werelds grootste en meest professionele organisatie op het gebied van Thaiboksen. Daarom zal Thailand wederom met de allerbeste vechters naar Nederland komen. Saiyok, Bovy, Anuwat, Seanchai en Lamsongkram behoren tot de absolute wereldtop. Seanchai en Anuwat zijn bovendien bij leven al een legende. De Nederlandse selectie wacht een loodzware klus in Almere, zeker als je bedenkt dat er dus gevochten wordt met elleboogtechnieken, hèt handelsmerk en specialisme van de Thaise vechters!
Hoewel het hoofdprogramma van de avond natuurlijk gevormd wordt door de interland tussen Nederland en Thailand staan er nog veel meer topgevechten op het programma.
Marco Piqué zal aantreden tegen de meest spraakmakende vechter van dit moment, Nieky Holzken (Golden Glory). Nieky Holzken heeft onlangs een lucratief contract getekend bij de K-1 en zal na 30 november aanstaande niet veel meer in Nederland te bewonderen zijn. Zal zijn voorlopig laatste gevecht op Nederlandse bodem hem duur te staan komen? Het zou zo maar kunnen, want Marco Piqué heeft bewezen voor niets en niemand uit de weg te gaan. De insiders verwachten veel van deze wedstrijd.
Een partij waar ook het publiek voor op de banken zal staan is de confrontatie tussen K-1 coryfee Virgill Kalakoda (Zuid-Afrika) en Brian Lo-A-Njoe. Kalakoda is een bikkelharde vechter met een KO in beide vuisten. Dat komt mooi uit, want zijn tegenstander is uit exact hetzelfde hout gesneden. Twee spijkerharde knokkers met maar één doel: de tegenstander moet neer! De kans is nihil dat deze partij op punten wordt beslist. Maar wie er overeind blijft staan in dit duel? Wij durven geen voorspelling te doen.
Waar ook halsreikend naar wordt uitgekeken is de terugkeer van Ricardo Fyeet in de ring. Deze unieke vechter is jaren uit het vechtsportcircuit weggeweest en maakt op 30 november aanstaande zijn rentree. Welke vechtsportliefhebber herinnert zich Fyeet niet uit de beginjaren van het freefight? Zijn imposante en intimiderende opkomsten naar de ring? De geweldige stare-down met Jerrel Venetiaan? En zijn partijen die nagenoeg altijd voortijdig werden beslist? Fyeet is altijd recht vooruit op zijn doel af. Hij geeft pas gas terug als zijn tegenstander KO is. Een echte publieksvechter!
Naast deze partijen staan er nog meer gevechten op het programma die de topsporthal op zijn grondvesten zal doen schudden. Menno Dijkstra vecht op full Muay-Thai rules tegen de kleine Duitse vechtmachine Denis Schneidmiller. Laatstgenoemde was één van de uitblinkers in de laatste editie van Slamm. Hij kreeg een staande ovatie van het publiek. En uiteraard ontbreekt de beste vrouwelijke vechter van de wereld niet. Germaine de Randami staat al jaren op eenzame hoogte. In Nederland is er niemand meer die tegen haar in de ring durft. De Zweedse Pernilla Johansson heeft echter maling aan de wereldwijde reputatie van The Iron Lady. Maar of deze Zweedse bluf voldoende zal zijn om Germaine van haar voetstuk te stoten zal nog moeten blijken? Het wordt waarschijnlijk voorlopig de laatste Muay Thai-wedstrijd van Germaine de Randami. Een nieuwe uitdaging in het Mixed Martial Arts lonkt! Maar 30 november komt het Utrechtse fenomeen gelukkig nog in actie.
Kortom, 30 november aanstaande wordt een unieke vechtsportavond in Almere. Een fantastische accommodatie, gratis parkeren, een zeer redelijke entreeprijs, spijkerharde full Muay Thai en K-1 gevechten, en een entourage met een aantal megavideoschermen en videoclips!
