Launch And Execution:
The 5 week XBOX promotion was first introduced with the release of online trailers that gave gamers a sneak peak of what was to come. On November 19, 2006 the games went on sale in 6,680 participating restaurants. A variety of television and print executions launched that same day to coincide with the release of the games. Three print ads, televisions spots and game trailers were released throughout the holiday season to continue to draw traffic to the stores. Game trailers also played in restaurant to spark consumer curiosity at the point of purchase.
Results:
The BK King Games were deemed a huge success by client and consumer alike. The games were certified platinum by Microsoft on December 20, 2006. Meaning, 2.4 million units were sold during the 5 week promotional period. This ties with the current 3rd best selling XBOX game of all time. The estimated media impressions generated by the King Games was the equivalent to thirteen Superbowls. The XBOX games also helped Burger King draw record traffic and sales system wide.

Not only did it preclude private gun ownership in the district, but it also prohibited legal gun owners who were grandfathered in from carrying their weapons from one room of their own house to another.
It was a law that just begged to be struck down.

Evelyn Preer was a notable stage and screen actress, as well as an accomplished blues singer of the 1910s through the early 1930s, till her premature death in 1932.. Upon completing high school, Evelyn began her career in early vaudeville and minstrel shows before beginning her critically lauded professional association with Oscar Micheaux, the African-American film director dubbed the "Father of Afro-American Cinema". Preer's first film role was in Micheaux's 1919 debut effort The Homesteader. As his premier leading actress, Micheaux heavily promoted Preer with a steady tour of personal appearances and a publicity campaign. Many of Micheaux's subsequent films were vehicles designed to showcase Preer's extraordinary versatility; Preer was lauded by both the black and white press for her ability to continually succeed in ever more challenging roles and refusing to play roles that she believed demeaned African-Americans. Her most well known role is in her only known surviving Micheaux film appearance, 1919's Within Our Gates. In 1920, Evelyn Preer joined The Lafayette Players, a theatrical stock company founded in 1915 by another pioneering stage and film actress Anita Bush, who was known as "The Little Mother of Black Drama." Bush and her acting troupe brought legitimate theatre to black audiences throughout the U.S. While the troupe was based in Chicago, Preer met her future husband, fellow Lafayette Player Edward Thompson. They married in Nashville, Tennessee in 1924 while on a Southern tour. In the mid-1920's Evelyn Preer began garnering much attention from the white press and began making a foray into "crossover" films and stage parts. In 1926, she had a successful stint on Broadway in David Belasco's production of Lulu Belle. Preer supported and understudied actress Lenore Ulric in the leading role of Edward Sheldon's steamy drama of a Harlem prostitute. She won further acclaim as Sadie Thompson on the West Coast in a revival of Somerset Maugham's fallen woman melodrama, Rain in 1928. A 1930 race musical Georgia Rose, presented Preer in her feature talkie debut. In 1931 Preer performed onscreen opposite actress Sylvia Sidney in the film Ladies of the Big House. Her final film performance was the minor role of a prostitute named Lola in Josef von Sternberg's 1932 film Blonde Venus, opposite Cary Grant and Marlene Dietrich. As an accomplished vocalist, and during stints in cabaret and musical theater Preer was occasionally backed by such legendary and diverse musicians as Duke Ellington and Red Nichols. In April 1932, Preer gave birth to her only child, Edeve Thompson. She developed post-parturition complications and died of double pneumonia on November 27, 1932 in Los Angeles, aged 36. As for this excellent record, it was made for Victor in on October 14th, 1926. The accompanying instrumentists remained uncredited.

Like it or not, the USAAF had only the P-40 available when it went to war. It rarely outperformed the fighters that it opposed, but it was one of the sturdiest fighters produced during World War II. Remembered as a "best second choice," innumerable pilots owe their lives to its rugged quality. The Curtiss P-40 was undoubtedly one of the most controversial fighters to serve in quantity during the Second World War. It was praised and abused, lauded and vilified, but the fact remains that, as the first American single-seat fighter to be manufactured on a mass-production basis, it bore much of the brunt of the air warfare over several battle fronts. Its performance was inferior to the performances of the majority of its antagonists, but this shortcoming was partly compensated for by its tractability and its sturdiness which enabled it to withstand a considerable amount of punishment. It was amenable to adaptation and it was available when most sorely needed.
Not particularly good technically or in performance, though very durable, P-40s continued to be produced until the end of 1944, serving also with air force units of Turkey, South Africa, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Later versions were known as Kittyhawks to the RAF and its Allies. Not usually realized is that the name Warhawk applied only to the United States Army Air Force P-40s starting with the P-40F version, a much improved plane with a license built version of the British Rolls-Royce Merlin engine installed.
The Kittyhawk was the main fighter used by the RAAF in World War II, in greater numbers than the Spitfire. Two RAAF squadrons serving with the Desert Air Force, No. 3 and No. 450 Squadrons, were the first Australian units to be assigned P-40s. Other RAAF pilots served with RAF or SAAF P-40 squadrons in the theater.
Many RAAF pilots achieved high scores in the P-40. At least five reached "double ace" status: Clive Caldwell (22 kills), Nicky Barr, John Waddy, Bob Whittle (11 kills each) and Bobby Gibbes (ten kills) in the Middle East, North African and/or New Guinea campaigns. In all, 18 RAAF pilots became aces while flying P-40s.
A total of 301 P-40s were allocated to the Royal New Zealand Air Force under lend lease, 297 seeing service, (the remaining 4 being lost on delivery). These aircraft equipped 14 Squadron, 15 Squadron, 16 Squadron, 17 Squadron, 18 Squadron, 19 Squadron and 20 Squadron. Some RNZAF pilots in North Africa and Italy also flew British P-40s while serving with RAF squadrons.
RNZAF P-40s were successful in air combat against the Japanese during intense fighting in the Pacific theatre from 1942 until 1944. New Zealand pilots claimed 99 aerial victories in P-40s, losing 20 aircraft in aerial combat. Geoff Fisken, the Commonwealth's highest scoring flying ace in the Pacific, flew P-40s with 15 Squadron, although half his victories came with the Brewster Buffalo.
