Oboe Concert (KV 314) - W.A.Mozart - Heinz Holliger Part 1 - 600 sec
Lost Odyssey DLC - Defeating Professor K in 3 Turns - 442 sec
This is a video of my level 8x party taking on Professor K in the 400ms Point DLC, Seeker of the Deep. At 108800 HP, this guy may seem like a pushover, but one bad choice, coupled with Professor K's resistance, defence and reflect will have your party sprawled on the floor in no time. This punishing dungeon has no save points and you'll spend at least 30 minutes turn tailing your way back to get another shot at the little fella. He may be harder than The Immortal One if you do not know what you're doing and get your party wiped out by Annihilation. Most people that beat him used the new DLC items like Accelerator (Reduce casting time 3) or Rose Quartz (Turn Cast). These items are obtained from mini bosses you encounter in Random fights along the last 9 levels (16B to 24B). However, some people claim to never get these items (rare drop) even after 5 hours. In this video, I will provide rough details on how to defeat Professor K in 3 Turns. Minimum Requirements: Level 80+ Immortals (At least 8000 HP) The following skills: Persistence HP Boosting skills Crisis Defence Complete Defence Level 8 White Magic Level 8 Spirit Magic Lucky 0 Magic Damage Nullify all elements Double Cast Reduce Casting time 2 Mental Stability 2 Weapon Guard 2 Slot +5/Slot +10 Turn-tail Before the fight, get your Immortals' HP down to 1 to 1000. You can do this by fighting Hellish Kelolons (Black Kelolons in 24B). Note that this must be done by 24B as there are no more random encounters after 24B. Attack these Kelolons normally and they will perform counters, usually taking your characters to near death. Use Complete Defence to keep low health characters alive and Turn Tail when all Immortals have yellow Hp. Health Sed to full health and put him in the front row (so he will tank the few Forceus that Professor K casts) and the Immortals in the back row. Equip Sed with the Curse Crest, Holy Guard and Quad-Element Seal. Once the battle starts, just keep casting Reversa and hope for the best. If you're unlucky, Professor K will cast Reflect on his 2nd turn, meaning that your party will suffer 4 reflected Reversas hitting for about 40000 each. This is where Persistence pays off, if you have 2 HP or 860 HP, a 40000 reflected Reversa will only whack your HP down to 1. I took a big risk by taking 3 of my Immortals with 1 HP into the battle. In total, I have faced Professor K 6 times. In the 4 times I failed against him it was always because my party or the majority of the party got wiped out. Sure you can use divide and complete defense but that means that your party can last only so many turns. Because Professor K always has Regenerus and Annihilation at his disposal, you will never be able to cover the 20400 HP he heals while ressurecting your party members who fall to Annihilation. This is definitely not a fight you can win if you play defensively and stretch it out.

Mozart Andante KV 616 F-Major - 513 sec
Alexander Bildau Live Mozart (1756-1791) Andante For A Little Mechanical Organ Written 1791 "I hate that job and I can't finish it", he wrote to his wife. The Greatest Composer Of All Times, always short of money, sick from vanguard medical treatment (quicksilver was the drug of the day) and outlawed by the Austrian court ("only the best are worth to entertain our noble ears"), finally accepted the humiliating task and wrote background music, set for silly mechanical instruments. The Andante KV 616 is one of those works. Commissioned by the illustrious Count von Deym for his cabinet of wax sculptures in Vienna - kind of a predecessor of Madame Tussauds and famous for its attractive mix of erotic, morbid and heroic showcases - the music box was to be placed into a chamber displaying three sexy girls on a bed. Those waxen beauties were Mozart's most attentive listeners. (Comment by A. Bildau, added by KCB)

Mozart: Idomeneo (KV. 366) - 254 sec
Stereo: http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=6eyTmbf89jE&fmt=18 Johann Chrysostom Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 - 1791). (Live Concert). Idomeneo (KV 366). Orchestre et Choeurs de l'Opera national de Paris. Mireille Delunsch (Soprano). Dir: Thomas Hengelbrock. Idomeneo, re di Creta ossia Ilia e Idamante (Italian: Idomeneo, King of Crete, or, Ilia and Idamante; usually referred to simply as Idomeneo, K. 366) is an Italian opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The libretto was adapted by Giambattista Varesco from a French text by Antoine Danchet, which had been set to music by André Campra as Idoménée in 1712. Mozart and Varesco were commissioned in 1780 by Karl Theodor, Elector of Bavaria for a court carnival. He probably chose the subject, though it might have been Mozart. The libretto clearly draws its inspiration from Metastasio and its overall layout, not to mention the type of character development which Metastasio had developed and mostly from the highly poetic language used in the various numbers and the secco and stromentato recitatives. The style of the choruses, marches, and ballets was very French, and the shipwreck scene towards the end of Act I is almost identical to the structure and dramatic working-out of a similar scene in Gluck's Iphigénie en Tauride. The sacrifice and oracle scenes are similar to Gluck's Iphigénie en Aulide and Alceste. Kurt Kramer has suggested that Varesco was familiar with Calzabigi and therefore the work of Gluck, especially the latter's Alceste; much of what we see in Varesco's most dramatic passages is the latest French style, mediated by Calzabigi. It is thanks to Mozart, though, that this mixture of French styles (apart from a few choruses) moves away from Gluck and France and returns to its more Italian (opera seria) roots; the singers were all trained in the classical Italian style, after all, and the recitatives are all classically Italian. It was first performed at the Cuvilliés Theatre of the Residenz in Munich on January 29, 1781. Written when the composer was 24, Idomeneo was Mozart's first mature opera seria, and with it he demonstrated his mastery of orchestral color, accompanied recitatives, and melodic line. In certain respects (e.g., the choirs), however, this opera is still an experimental drama, resulting more in a sequence of sets than in a well developed plot. Mozart also had to fight with the mediocre author of the libretto, the court chaplain Varesco, making large cuts and changes, even down to specific words and vowels disliked by the singers (too many "i"s in "rinvigorir"). Idomeneo was performed three times at Munich, and later in 1781 Mozart considered revising it to harmonise it with Gluck's style. This would have meant a bass Idomeneus and a tenor Idamantes, but nothing came of it. A concert performance was given in 1786 at the Auersperg palace in Vienna, and as well as changing Idamantes from a castrato to a tenor, Mozart wrote some new music and cut out other parts. In the late 1920s, Richard Strauss began working on a revised version of Idomeneo. This version premiered in 1930 and boasted a completely different libretto by Lothar Wallerstein. Strauss cut much of Mozart's score replacing it with some his own compositions. He also rearranged the order of the musical numbers and changed name of the character of princess Electra to the priestess Ismene. Critics have noted that Strauss' additions to the opera contain an odd blend of the classical style of composition and Strauss' own characteristic sound. In 1984, the Mostly Mozart Festival presented Strauss' version of Mozart's Idomeneo with Jerry Hadley in the title role, Delores Ziegler as Idamantes, and Alessandra Marc as Ismene. Today Idomeneo is part of the standard operatic repertoire. There are several recordings of it, and it is regularly performed.

1. Mozart: Sonate Parisienne (KV 310) - 315 sec
Stereo: http://it.youtube.com/watch?v=sUcBUXvK3vk&fmt=18 Johann Chrysostom Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 - 1791). Sonate Parisienne (KV 310). 1st mov: Allegro maestoso. Andreas Staier (Pianoforte). Mozart's famous Piano Sonata No. 8 in A minor (K. 310 or K. 300d, depending on whose reckoning you go by) was composed in Paris in 1778 and published there a few years later as Op. 4/3. In this work, written at age 22 or so, Mozart at last tries his hand at a sonata in the minor mode. The Piano Sonata No. 8 is, in fact, one of just three minor mode instrumental sonatas ever composed by the man: of the 22 piano sonatas (that includes four lost early ones), just two are not in the major mode, and this is the earlier of them (the other is K. 457 in C minor); and of the 30-some sonatas for keyboard and violin, only No. 21 in E minor (K. 300c, composed, like the Piano Sonata No. 8, in 1778) represents its side of the modal spectrum. One gets the feeling, listening to the Sonata in A minor, that Mozart had been stocking up on minor mode drama for some time when he wrote it. Its stormy music is a far cry from the happy-hearted, light-footed sonata fare composed up to that point. The first of the sonata's three movements is an Allegro maestoso, whose heavy, dotted principal theme is pounded out to a stomping chordal left-hand accompaniment - the rhythm and the texture are heavy from the get-go, and only after some time does Mozart fall into the more familiar streamlined, Alberti bass style of piano writing. The second theme, in the expected key of C major, is by contrast all grace - the running sixteenth notes of its melody should be played as though tickling the keys. For a middle movement, Mozart concocted a lovely Andante cantabile in F major. The Presto finale bounds forth in 2/4 meter, its tune driven by an accompaniment whose one-bar pattern begins on the offbeat.
