The movie is set in a parisian nightclub where an elaborate romance is unfolding. This movie is not likely to be seen these days because it includes a blackface minstrel show finale, which I will not upload, so don't ask. It also includes a scene where a man cuts into a dance and dances with the man, not the woman. Again, don't ask. These two scenes were somewhat controversial even in 1934, and the movie almost was unable to receive the required Hayes Production Code certification.

This was shot on location at the call center I worked for and it involved a couple of my teammates from the project. Gene Reynolds is taken to the woodshed by Walter Huston in Of Human Hearts (1938), with Beulah Bondi. The film also starred James Stewart (as Reynolds' character grown up), John Carradine, Gene Lockhart, Ann Rutherford, Guy Kibbee, Charles Coburn, Sterling Holloway. In a later scene Stewart is taken to the woodshed by John Carradine - as Abraham Lincoln - which is also posted here. After numerous child roles, Reynolds went on to direct many TV shows including Leave It To Beaver, Hogan's Heros, MASH, Lois and Clark, and Touched By An Angel.
