This footage was take a few short hours after a major kitemare Jason had. He was flying his kite over the hwy. when a truck passed creating a windless vortex that sucked his kite promptly from the sky. This sudden loss of power caused Jason to lose his edge, as he toppled to one side he caught a glimpse of impending doom. A car speeding toward his lines stretched across the road, each line capable of holding 1000 pounds he desperately searched for the quick release, but his gloved hands were clumsy, the car was seconds away, reaching toward his shoulder where his Benchmade hook blade was, anticipating the ride of his life. Thankfully the car did not catch the string, Jason was left with a racing heart and a since of sickness in his stomach. We then realized it would be smarter to fly the kites over the barbed wire. We were sure to have repair issues but at least we would be alive to carry them out. Jason's kite had the lovable name of patches by the end of the expedition with 3 major rips and 2 cut lines.
