| Kenyatta day equally significant for Diaspora Kenyans - 193 sec Heroes Day. Kenyas celebration for heroes who gave their lives for freedom seems to have beeen forgotten this year?. October 20th is very special for us Kenyans! This is one of the most important celebrations in Kenya. The Diaspora Community of Kenya even thing that it's more important for them since in this occasions, Kenyans come together as a union,a diversified nation and as a people with common interrest.
The Kenyan Embassy shall not fail to finance this national celebration for its citizens in Diaspora. If Russia could go against the EU and the NATO to "defend" it's "citizens" in Georgia how about Kenya which is in peace with Sweden and Kenyans in Sweden? Couldn't Kenya give as that little celebration? Our children born outside Kenya needs to be brought up in an environment where the history of Kenya is celebrated continuously. It gives them culture and a sense of belonging.
Or are the Kenyans in Sweden at war with the Kenyan Embassy and Nairobi administration? Is the Embassy tired of us?
If it's due to lack of finance, why hasn't the Kenyan Ambasador in Sweden come out to let Kenyans know about it?. Or have the Embassy prepared a "private" Heroes day? Could it be what the blogger at http://www.butdoisay.wordpress.com as private dinner? But the I am left wandering if the butdoisay blogger has become of another class than that which ksb calls the Odiangabucks? Haha!
We are asking this questions since we haven't gotten any invitation to our Heroes day! What happened? Is Kenya not caring anymore the legacy of those who gave us freedom?
Haven't paid enough tax? For the last obe year, the writer of this blog has sent about Swedish kronor 80 000 approximately 700 000 ksh of which the government of Kenya tax through value added tax.
I have functioned on the place of the Kenyan government as a very well wishing social welfare system for more than 20 individuals.
I have represented Kenya both abroad and at home as a good will ambassador a thing that Kenyans in Diaspora shares. Are we not important enough?
Last year's Kenyatta day was full of controversy. Kenyans were looking forward to have a better well organized Kenyatta day for all Kenyans this year. Why isn't there any update in the embassy's homepage? Auteur : maasaiwarrior Tags: kenyatta day heroes kenya |
