Gun Control - 315 sec
A look into my views (undoubtedly considered insane by most internet goers, on the 'progressive' world wide web). A look into common arguments against the right to bear arms and the proper counters. I would add arguments for the basic right of self-defense but if you don't believe in that you are pretty lost. I can't help you. The song is Hey Man Nice Shot by Filter. Alternatively I thought of using Trigger Happy by Weird Al, because if you can't laugh at yourself you have a problem. Sorry if the text goes too quickly. I was probably too wordy. In the fifteen surveys I have heard of, the estimate ranges from 108,000 to 2.5 million a year (the former number of course from a very anti-gun group's survey and the later from a very pro-gun group. Aim for the middle for the best estimate. =P) I would like to point out there is an estimated 10,000 gun related homicides a year. Here is a few quotes I wanted to add to the video but didn't have room with all the other stuff I wanted more, or because it would have thrown off some of the timing. This started out as a documentary on gun violence in America, but the largest mass murder in our history was just committed and without the use of a single gun! Not a single bullet fired! No bomb was set off, no missile was fired, no weapon was used. A boxcutter! I can't stop thinking about this. A thousand gun control laws would not have prevented this massacre. What am I doing? -Michael Moore on the eve of September 11th, 2001 I think 9/11, quite frankly, could have been prevented if we had had a lot more respect for the Second Amendment. -Ronald Paul My cold dead hands. -Charlton Heston (Rest in peace) When governments fear the people there is liberty. When the people fear the government there is tyranny. -Thomas Jefferson A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks. -Thomas Jefferson One loves to possess arms, though they hope never to have occasion for them. -Thomas Jefferson No freeman shall ever be debarred the use of arms. -Thomas Jefferson Thomas Jefferson was a bad ass. -Silvsilvchan [The Constitution preserves] the advantage of being armed which Americans possess over the people of almost every other nation...(where) the governments are afraid to trust the people with arms. -James Madison Also to hit two points very fast. John Adam's quote might strike you as odd in a video that obviously is attempting to be pro-gun rights. What he is speaking out against is vigilantism however. Pay attention to the wording, he even references self-defense as one of the reasons to have one. The second point is the notion that the Nazis were for gun control, which is hinted to in some of the images. Yes and no. The Wiemar Republic was for gun control, so the Nazis merely did not have to change the law. During the entire administration of Hitler he only passed one law concerning fire arms domestically. He did however seek out and destroy any weapon owners in conquered territories, the locations of whom were provided to him by the recently deposed governments who had established listings through permits and such. If one is to take a lesson from the Third Reich it is not one concerning gun rights. It is one concerning propaganda. Hitler saw no reason to disarm his public because the entire nation was ferociously loyal to him for most of his reign due to his charisma and appeal to Germany's injured national pride. The lesson isn't to be wary of gun grabbing liberals, but rather to be wary of nationalistic ones. Like certain New York mayors who keep repeating the words '9-11' over and over again trying to drag your anger, hatred and fear back to the surface.

Bill Peirce's campaign ruffles debate feathers - 479 sec
On Sept 20th, Ted Strickland and Ken Blackwell once again chickened out of debating economist Bill Peirce. So we brought some chickens to the debate to make a visual point. Sadly, the powers that be decided to arrest them.
