My good friend Ken Belcher and I recently had our very first livestream show at http://live.pauldateh.com. Here's one of the songs we performed: Waiting for Love. It's an old song that I wrote way back when I was 18, and I'm really embarrassed to sing it now. But, Ken insisted that we play it at the show, so here it is! :)

We've been hanging out together online for quite a while now, I have to say that I'm really enjoying getting to know you! Your comments, video responses, and emails frikkin' rock. Thanks for sending them, and keep sending more!
When I open my email inbox, however, there's one question that I see over and over again: "When is the album coming out?"
Due to my touring schedule, the album release has been slightly delayed. Believe me, I really want this album done, but it has to be done right. Out of respect for you, the listener, I want to make sure that I put my best work forward. Please be patient, because I promise it'll be worth the wait.
Significant progress is being made on the project, however. This week, we finished pre-production and are now in rehearsals. We officially begin recording the album next week!
Stay tuned. There's much more video to come in the following weeks.

It's been a while since I've posted an entry, and I'm happy to finally have a new video to share (especially considering that my last entry wasn't the most cheerful).
This week's video documents my recent trip to New York City. I was in town for several meetings, rehearsals, a recording session, and a show with DJ Johnny Juice at Pace University. I was also lucky to be invited to appear on Rocketboom, one of my favorite online shows. Not only that, I was able to find a little time to catch up with good friends and family. All in all, it was a very exciting week!
Speaking of exciting, Inka and I will be performing at Playboy's "Rock the Rabbit" Spring Break Festival this coming weekend. I'll be taking my camera with me, so check for that video soon!
Also, I am thinking of playing a live concert online sometime soon with my guitarist Ken Belcher (most likely via ustream). As soon as I figure out all the technical aspects to make that happen, I'll be sure to post all the details. (If any of you have experience broadcasting live musical performances online, please send me an email or leave me a comment!)
Sorry that this entry is written so haphazardly. I'm in a rush to get several writing projects done before I leave town this weekend. Hopefully, I won't be as rushed next week! :)

Last month, I promised a site and show launch for January, and I still plan to do so!
While I get everything ready for the actual launch of the site and show, check out this preview video that documents the events of my past week: performing at the Los Angeles Philharmonic's "Concrete Frequency" event; opening up with DJ Johnny Juice for Public Enemy and DMC at the Hard Rock Las Vegas; and exhibiting for Skullcandy and Beyond.FM at CES 2008!

Preparations for the the album recording are wrapping up, and I plan to go into official production at the end of this month. I'll be sure to post video of my progress whenever I can.
