Basta Ibrahim Can olmak uzere bircok sanatciya bu yasta album ve konserlerde eslik etmistir. Gelecekte dunyaya sesimizi duyuracagini dusunuyorum. Georgos "Shoumoults" Amarantidis Lyra - Kemence Player - 470 sec This short Doco is on George Amarantidis also known as "Shoumoulika" or "Shoumoul".
He has made many albums and sticks to the traditional playing of his Lyra/Kemence. He was also the Lyra/Kemence player for the "Dora Stratu" Dance academy in Athens (see other videos).
In the clip you will also see Vasili Fotiadi (brother of Prof. Kosta Fotiadis) son of the old priest of Panagia Soumela (Sumela) in Greece. Also the icon and the 1st Sumela church re-built in Greece (nothing like the original in Pontos - 50klm south of Trabzon).

Pontian Horon at Sumela Pontos Kemence - 242 sec Another short Video from my trip to the Black Sea (Karadeniz) region of Pontos in 1997 with Georgos Andreadis tour.
This is at the base of the Monastery of Panagia Sumela 50klm south of Trabzon (Trapezounta). After dancing together with the Kemence/Lyra Player Iannis Nikolaidis from Komotini, on the Daouly is Kostas Psathas (the trello) and Vasilis fotiadis sang. We met this man who insisted on dancing "Horon" for us.
My Sister, who's name is Simela (and not SUmela b/c we are from the west of pontos) tries her best to interview him in Pontiaka "Rum"..
