Kedarnath is 14 km from Gaurikund in Uttaranchal, India. The sacred temple of Kedarnath make a huge number of pilgrims trudge their way on foot, mule, kandi ( basket ) and Palki ( palnquin ). The first leg of trek is 7 km from Gaurikund to Ramwada. The river Mandakini, the alpine grandeur, the cascading waterfall make it a memorable journey.

This video was shot while on second leg of trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath, in the State of Uttaranchal, India. This was my third trek in this region. Never seen so much snow enroute in my earlier treks. The landscape between Ramwada and Kedarnath is breath taking. The meandering river Mandakini flowing through the crevices of melting snow add a spectacular sight with the back drop of Himalayas. Feel like going there again and again!
