Katyusha or Katjusha is a Russian Soviet wartime song about a girl longing for her beloved, who is away on military service. The music was composed in 1938 by Matvei Blanter and the lyrics were written by Mikhail Isakovsky. It was first performed by the celebrated Russian folk singer, Lidiya Ruslanova.
Katjuscha ist ein russisches Liebeslied. Der Text wurde 1938 von Michail Issakowski (1900--1973) geschrieben, die Melodie stammt von Matwei Blanter (1903--1990). Das Lied entwickelte sich zu einem beliebten Volkslied, das bis heute populär geblieben ist. Die russische Bezeichnung des Raketenwerfers Katjuscha, der auf Deutsch Stalinorgel genannt wird, geht auf dieses Lied zurück.
Leuchtend prangten rings um Apfelblüten. Still vom Fluss zog Nebel noch ins Land. Durch die Wiesen kam hurtig Katjuscha zu des Flusses steiler Uferwand.
Und es schwang ein Lied aus frohem Herzen, Jubelnd, jauchzend sich empor zum Licht, weil der Liebste ein Brieflein geschrieben, das von Heimkehr und von Liebe spricht.
