I love that 'undesirable' sweet little hiss of the old records that I present here, however, sometimes it may happen that interpretations of the well known old number, registered much later in a 'hiss-less' system, bring something new and even may open a new world of impressions.
Tango 'Już nigdy' (Never more) was first sung by Vera Bobrowska a star of the cabaret Morskie Oko, Warsaw, 1930 and became such a success that through decades a lot of singers used to include it to their repertoire again and again. But it was not until 1958 when a young at that time and very ambitious girl, Sława Przybylska, ventured to present it on the radio and on her first record. The song acquired a new light. I like it very much.
Soon I am going to present a few more, hiss-less recordings of very old tunes which also, I think, deserve attention.
