Risking my E-Flite Blade 400 for some entertainment,(even if you don't believe it), I doubt most others would risk their $450 heli just to hover over the water, let alone dangle a line!
(It was obviously all done with mirrors for you non-believers) This scenerio shows it is possible to use the Helicopter for fishing, however it would be expensive fish.
It helps to have lots of fish, like in our Sand Pit Pond that bite on hooks with no bait.

***Caution from past experience***
Tail rotor hitting water will immediately cause crash.
Big fish can drain battery fast. Sunfish are not big fighters.

I got this footage from last week. In the paper they say the "video showed the rotor blades of the Lithuanian-registered MI-2 helicopter hitting a tree, then clipping the top off a lamp post."
I never noticed the lamp being cut down, but you can clearly see it if you focus on it. This was the guy's birthday present, a helicopter ride! Instead he got a helicopter ride to the hospital.

The Police noticed the UFO near a military base St Athan, and it flew towards them. A local man also confirmed he saw something peculiar with lots of flashing lights.
South Wales Police can confirm its air support unit sighted an unusual aircraft. This was reported to the relevant authorities for their investigation," police said in a brief statement, avoiding the use of the term 'UFO', or unidentified flying object. At the time of the incident, the helicopter with three men on board was waiting to land at the St Athan RAF base near Cardiff. The sighting reportedly took place at 00:40 am (23:40 GMT). A similar sighting was made a few years ago by a Police helicopter in the UK.
