This video was shot at an intersection of a side street with a busy road. There are no traffic lights or stop signs. Notice the school children on bicycles. I used to use the word "chaos" when I described the traffic in China. But I have finally realized it is not chaos. Regardless of the mode of travel - foot, bicycle, scooter, motorcycle, car, or bus - that mode just becomes an extension of the person, and everyone moves in complete harmony. After spending six weeks in China, I have only seen one accident, and that was a rear-end fender bender on a major highway.

Villagers from Guangdong Province maintain local officials from Zhushan have taken their land and pocketed the compensation. Their lives have been extremely hard since then. Let's take a look.
STORY:
Villagers from Zhushan, Shiji County and Panyu in Guangdong Province have all been affected.
One of the Zhushan villagers, Ms. Liang, says in many villages from Panyu District in Guangdong, local officials even lived on the seized land. If people dare to petition against the land seizures they're punished by officials. So, she says, most of the villagers are very angry, but remain silent.
[Ms. Liang, Land Seizure Victim]:
"We're really miserable. We don't have any land any more. All the land was stolen by the officials. And when we go to complain, we're beaten. Even the policemen come to take us away."
Zhuolin Liang, a local villager, was punished when he petitioned against land seizures in 2005. He was severely wounded and shortly afterwards his family's water and power was cut off. Zhuolin says the local officials even stopped their neighbors from helping them out. Now, the local officials have gone even further and announced that their house should be demolished.
[Zhuolin Liang, Land Seizure Victim]:
"I was stabbed 13 times with a knife. Our house was demolished by the village officials. Out water and power were cut off for one year and eight months. Those officials are shielded by the Chinese Communist Party. They're fierce. They're behaving like villains."
Zhuolin Liang's daughter recalled when her father was attacked the mainstream Chinese media didn't even dare to report on it.
[Zhuolin Liang's Daughter, Frustrated Over Seizure]:
"We had reported this mistreatment to many TV and radio stations. But they didn't dare to report it. We had also written many letters to the National People's Congress. But there was no response."
An estimated 500 villagers in the area have been victims of illegal land seizures carried out by corrupt CCP officials.
