Ernesto Che Guevara is, in fact, part Irish and part Basque!
Cuban revolutionary, Ernesto Che Guevara is, in fact, part Irish and part Basque! While Che was a native Argentine, historical archives indicate that his great-grandmother, Anna Isabel Lynch was born in County Galway, Ireland. Legend has it that Lynch later migrated to South America where she met husband and Basque descendant, Guevara. Together they produced a child named Ernesto, who would one day become Che's father. Hence, in 1928, Ernesto 'Che' Guevara was born.
Roughly four decades later, Ernesto found himself accounting for his son's rebellious behaviour. His response to Che's decision to join the Cuban guerrilla movement was thus: The first thing to note is that in my son's veins flows the blood of the Irish rebels.
On March 13,1965 Che returned home to his Irish roots during a lay-over between Prague and Cuba. After spending the day in Shannon and Limerick, Che and his fellow Cuban comrades were spotted returning to the airport wearing sprigs of shamrock.

Lake Erie UFO: A Closer Examination
What is depicted in the picture above?
Is it two jets several miles apart from each other?
Or two police cars several yards apart from each other?
Or is it what each of us want it to be?
UFO NEWS - On February 6th we posted Michael Lee Hill's UFO video captured on August 18th, 2006 on the shores of Lake Erie. Six days later it has generated a heated debate in the post's comments.
Many skeptics believe the lights pictured above are two distant jets coming at us in a landing pattern - appearing to hover. Other skeptics say these are two police cars driving across a hill at night - on parallel roads with distance forcing the perspective.
We don't think so.
1) Michael Lee Hill tells us he shot this in Eastlake, Ohio. In this topo map of the area you will see no hills near or across the shoreline.
2) If these aircraft are flying towards Eastlake then we can only find two destinations, Lost Nation Municipal Airport and Cuyahoga County Airport. Neither of these airports look the part for what would be obviously BIG planes on approach.
3) If these aircraft were coming in to Cleveland Airport they would be traveling from right to left.
4) In the frame grab above shouldn't there be an appreciable size difference between two aircraft of this size, miles apart — even with the alleged mirage affect?
UFO NEWS believes these two 'things' are flying about 20 feet apart from each other.
If anyone would like to further debunk this sighting I believe we must begin with these new ideas. - UFO NEWS

The title "In the Land of Éire" was inspired by a great song from the 1st Thin Lizzy album called "Éire" (Ireland). A tale of ancients kings, battles, oppression and young Ireland.
This was the first album I ever heard from them and I fell in love with the band from that moment on.
Dedicated to Phil, Brian, Eric and me big bruv who was responsible :). Special nod to Gary Moore and all the lads too (lots of cool guitarists in later lineups).

BOOLAVOGUE
At Boolavogue, as the sun was setting
O'er the bright May meadows of Shelmalier,
A rebel hand set the heather blazing
And brought the neighbours from far and near.
Then Father Murphy, from old Kilcormack,
Spurred up the rocks with a warning cry;
"Arm! Arm!" he cried, "for I've come to lead you,
For Ireland's freedom we fight or die."
He led us on 'gainst the coming soldiers,
And the cowardly Yeomen we put to flight;
'Twas at the Harrow the boys of Wexford
Showed Bookey's Regiment how men could fight
Look out for hirelings, King George of England,
Search ev'ry kingdom where breathes a slave,
For Father Murphy of the County Wexford
Sweeps o'er the land like a mighty wave.
We took Camolin and Enniscorthy,
And Wexford storming drove out our foes;
'Twas at Sliabh Coillte our pikes were reeking
With the crimson stream of the beaten Yeos.
At Tubberneering and Ballyellis
Full many a Hessian lay in his gore;
Ah, Father Murphy, had aid come over
The green flag floated from shore to shore!
At Vinegar Hill, o'er the pleasant Slaney,
Our heroes vainly stood back to back,
And the Yeos at Tullow took Father Murphy
And burned his body upon the rack.
God grant you glory, brave Father Murphy
And open heaven to all your men;
The cause that called you may call tomorrow
In another fight for the Green again.
Father John Murphy of Boolavogue (in Wexford) led his parishioners in routing the Camolin Cavalry on May 26, 1798. The Wexford insurgents were eventually defeated at Vinegar Hill on June 21. Father Murphy and the other rebel leaders were hanged.

"Boolavogue" is a famous Irish ballad commemorating the Irish Rebellion of 1798. It was composed by Patrick Joseph McCall in 1898, for the centenary of the Rebellion.
Father John Murphy of the town of Boolavogue in County Wexford led his parishioners in routing the Camolin Cavalry on May 26, 1798. The Wexford insurgents were eventually defeated at the Battle of Vinegar Hill on June 21 and Father Murphy and the other rebel leaders were hanged.
McCall, who also composed the popular Irish ballads "Kelly the Boy from Killanne" and "Follow Me up to Carlow", wrote "Boolavogue" to the old Irish air "Eochaill" ("Youghal Harbour"). The tune was later used in the Australian traditional song "Moreton Bay", about an Irish convict's travails in Australia, and was also used by Seán Ó Riada as part of the film score for Mise Éire (1959).
