I used the song "Blow me away" (Breaking Benjamin), which was made for the Xbox game Halo 2.
I made this video a couple of months ago for a AMV contest. Please comment!
No, it's not just a clip with some music. This is made with 3 episodes (I think it's 189, 190 and 191) and some flashbacks in later episodes (for exemple, the way Trunks spits blood, is actually Vegeta's flashback in a later episode).
(Now it's uploaded, I see the quality is really damaged. Sorry about that, it was perfect before as a .MOV...) It shows Gohan's match with Cell, after transforming into a Super Saiyan 2 due to his friends being brutally beaten by the Cell Jr's.
The song used is Disturbed's "Stricken", off of the Ten Thousand Fists album.
Inspiration for this video comes from Gohan's Explosion, a video made by Castor Troy (Vegeta Insane!/Ginga Giri Giri)

This is a test video I made using special effects. I based it off DBZ. It supposed to be a test. im the guy in black
since so many people are asking, i'll just put it right here.
The effects were made using maya 6.5 and premier pro. The fireballs and dragon in maya. I used the fire dynamics, a standard function in maya, for the fireballs and the dragon I modeled myself, and then applied the fire effect to it.The lighting and teleportation stuff was made in premier. Lighting was a standard effect in premier and the teleportation was just done with a stationary camera and a lot of video masking.
The song is called long quan, or dragon fist, by jay chou.
thanks for all the comments. we're gonna make another one very soon. it will be 100x better than this one. I just need time to get better at 3d animation and martial arts.
note: I cant give a very detailed description of how I made the video or the effects I used because it would take wayyy too long. The stuff I used was very basic because i was just learning the programs when i made this. If you have the programs, you can figure out all of this stuff if you just play around with them.
Here are the DBZ sounds I used for the movie

I Thought It Came Out Pretty Good
It Has The Song Krishno by Kaya
Goku was a low class Saiyan that was sent to destroy Earth. His father, Bardock, was disappointed when his power level was only 2.
When he was sent to Earth, he bumped his head and got a case of amnesia. He was pure hearted from then on. He was adopted by Grandpa Son Gohan, who was his first trainer. He accidentally killed his "grandfather" when he turned into an Oozaru (by looking into the moonlight).
He was found by a young girl named Bulma when she went to search for seven mystic balls called the Dragonballs.
He went looking for the Dragonballs when he and Bulma came across an old pervert called Kame Sennin. Kame Sennin was once the world's strongest man. After a while, Goku went back to Kame Sennin for training. He became super strong and was given an orange gi. He wore this gi almost through Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z.
Adult Goku In the beginning of Dragon Ball Z, we see his first son (named Gohan), which he had with his wife Chi-Chi. His brother Raditz was disappointed that Earth was still in existence, and he became furious when he figured out that Goku lost his memory of his past.
He held Gohan hostage and said Goku must kill 100 people before he can get his son back. Goku refused. Then he started fighting Raditz along with his rival, Piccolo. They worked together to kill Raditz. Goku made a noble sacrifice and risked his life to keep his planet and his son safe. (Note: he had a second son named Goten.)
That's when he went into the dead, meeting his next trainer, Kaiousama (King Kai). Kaiousama taught Goku two powerful techniques. The first one is the Kaio-ken, which doubles his speed, strength, and senses. The second is the deadliest attack in the entire series: the Genkidama (or Spirit Bomb). This attack nearly killed the Saiyan Prince Vegeta and the terrible lizard-like Frieza. It also killed the most powerful villain in Dragon Ball Z, Kid Buu.
Other lesser known trainers were the cat Karinsama (Korin) and the god of the Earth named Kami.
At the end of Dragon Ball Z, Goku became the most powerful being in the universe.
Being the first character introduced in the Dragonball series, Son Goku plays the most vital role in all three dragonball series. His role develops the entire plot of the anime series, making it an action-packed yet humorous show depicting a world littered with evil villains and pure-hearted warriors like himself. Goku is the one of the most beloved character in the show, if not, he's certainly the most exciting to watch. Although Goku is not too bright, his determination and will to terminate the villains from destroying Earth is tremendous. Throughout his life, he was killed two times while defending Earth from bad guys like Raditz and Evil Cell. His last appearance in the show occurred when he was watching his great, great grandson, Goku Jr., competing against Vegeta Jr., in the Tenkachu tournament. While at the fighting tournament, his daughter-in-law, Videl spotted him, but he quickly disappeared. Before this tournment, Goku had long disappeared after the fight against evil Buu in Dragonball GT. It is believed that Goku was sent to live with the gods. Watching his development from a young, uncivilized boy to a grown man and husband, Goku is role model to young kids around the world. His kindness to others makes him one of the unique saiya-jins.
Goku was the first character introduced in the Dragonball Series. Being a third-class saiya-jin from Planet Vegeta, he was immediately sent to Earth after his birth to destroy all life there and take over so that he can prepare to sell it to buyers. Even as a child, his saiya-jin power was enough to destroy all life on Earth. After flying to Earth in a space pod, he landed on Earth. He was found by an old, yet great martial arts man named Gohan. Grandpa Gohan decided to raise Goku and he even taught Goku a little bit of kung-fu. Being the saiya-jin he was, Goku was a horrible child until one day, while trying to escape from Grandpa Gohan's hands, he falls down a cliff and bumps his head hard, causing his to forget his ultimate mission---to destroy earth and prepare it for sale. From then on, Goku was somewhat of a normal child. His hatred and evil in him vanished. He became a pure-hearted young boy. One night, after being exposed to a full moon, Goku transformed into a gigantic monkey, (whenever a saiya-jin sees a full moon, their tails make them transform into a huge and extremely powerful ape-like creature) and squashed his adopted father to death, without even noticing it. Later on, he finds a five-star dragonball and believes that it was the spirit of Grandpa Gohan, so he keeps it.
After meeting Bulma, Goku is acknowledged with the secret that the seven dragonballs can grant any wish within the power of Kami-sami, the guardian of Earth. He soon joins her in the quest to find the seven earth dragonballs. Through many adventures, he meets Yamcha, Tienshinhan and other characters who join him in the quest for the dragonballs. He battles off the Red Ribbon army Eventually, he ends up at training at Kamesenin's place. There, he meets his lifelong friend, Krillin and trains to become an even stronger warrior.
Goku is the first in the series to exhibit a purity of heart, meaning that he is completely void of evil and temptation. Being pure of heart, Goku is known for his naïvity and selflessness, and is often observed to be concerned with other people, regardless of how evil they seem to be. This unusual trait in Goku's personality is contrasted by his fierce love of competition, specifically fighting. Goku is often criticized by the other characters for giving his rivals a chance to change their intentions instead of killing them off. But as a result, this trait of his personality has earned him respect from former rivals, developed alliances, and even friendships with them.
Even though most of Goku's traits are very different than other Saiyans, he shares the Saiyan love for food and combat, and often neglects his duties as a husband and friend in order to train. Goku's desires mostly reflect his ambition to not only compete against others, but also to surpass his own limits, becoming an inspiration for his friends who also fight. Goku's personality is one of the few in the series that has almost no changes as the series continues, remaining naive and child-like throughout the course of the series, even at the end of the series when he is middle-aged.
Goku is the main character of the Dragonball series. Goku was sent to earth as a baby to destroy the planet. But he hits his head as a baby and forgot everything he was supposed to do. Instead he becomes a pure good person who protects the planet earth and the universe from evil. He is a tremendous fighter and has the most ability of any of the z warriors. But he has been known to be soft sometimes.(He almost let freeza get away). He was able to transform into all the SSJ transformations. Goku also killed nearly every main enemy the z fighters faced. He has a great relationship with his son Gohan. During the Cell saga, Goku knew there would be no way for him to beat Cell but he knew his son was more powerful than him, and even when he died during the cell saga, he was able to encourage Gohan in Snake way. He is also the husband of chi chi, daughter of the Ox king and they also had another son named Goten who Goku meets later due to him being dead at the time. One thing about Goku and Chi Chi is that Chi Chi wants Gohan to study while Goku wants Gohan to fight. Goku, who fears his wife, usually finds a way to compromise with his wife. Finally, Goku has always been known as the hero, always there to save the day when no one else can.
Habib's father Ferdous Wahid was one of the trailblazers of Bangla pop music in the 1970s and 1980s. Habib started to pick up tunes on his father's keyboard from the time he was a little boy. Later, he studied music and audio engineering at the School of Audio Engineering in London.
Habib conceived his first folk-remix album Krishno while he was still a student in London. "I had the concept and even the tracks arranged..and was looking for a vocalist," he said. Kaya, the vocalist Habib was looking for is a Sylheti restaurant owner in London and amateur singer. The first few songs arising from their collaboration proved to be unexpected hits on the underground scene, both in London and in Dhaka. Krishno was a success when it was eventually released in Bangladesh, its unique blend of age-old folk and modern electronica introducing a radically new sound to the Dhaka music scene.
Since then, Habib has released three more albums: Maya (2004), Moina Go... (2005) and Shono! (2006). He has featured new voices in all his albums. Besides Kaya he uses Helal, Julie, Konica, and Nirjhor. In the album, "Moina Go..." Habib himself appears singing two new romantic songs. He also has his father, Ferdous Wahid singing a song in that album. Habib also has little rap, r&b, hip-hop, and reggae type add-ins to songs done by Kunle.
Habib is touring, with upcoming shows in Toronto and Montreal. Habib's Canadian success is managed by Feroz Haq, who is the founder of the International Habib Fan Club (better known as I.H.F.C.). As Habib continues to gain international success, his future goals include "bringing the bohawk into the mainstream."
Dragon Ball Z was marketed to appeal to a wide range of viewers from all ages, and contains crude humor and occasional excesses of violence (which includes cartoon blood), which are commonly seen as inappropriate for younger audiences by American standards. When it was marketed in the US, the distribution company FUNimation alongside with Saban decided to initially focus exclusively on the young children's market, because the anime market was still small compared to the much larger children's cartoon market.
The show started in the US in 1996 on Cartoon Network. Beginning with the Saiyan Saga, severe restrictions were put in place for a cable program. In 1997, the show was moved to the network's new Toonami block, but was cancelled in 1998, after completing the Namek Saga. In 1999 however, the show was brought back and continued from where it left off. From the Ginyu Saga onwards, FUNimation dubbed the show themselves with their own in-house voice actors and also cut some of their previous restrictions, such as the inclusion of blood. The series ended its US run in 2003. Altogether, the show was rated TV-Y7 for fantasy violence. The FUNimation dub became very popular and it also greatly helped expand the anime market in the US.
In 2003, FUNimation began to redub the first two sagas (Saiyan and Namek). They also redubbed the first three Pioneer-distributed movies that were dubbed by the Ocean Group voice actors. The distribution of the redubs on DVD, under the Ultimate Uncut Special Edition title, began in April 2005.
In the summer of 2005, Cartoon Network started showing the uncut version of the first two seasons of Dragon Ball Z. This version used the original Japanese footage, with the exception of the Japanese opening and closing themes, and has an entirely new score of music. The uncut version also featured many scenes with large amounts of blood, mild profanity and language, as well as mild sexual humor and slapstick male nudity. Generally, while some lines were maintained from the original dub, several mistranslations were also corrected. The uncut episodes were given a TV-PG rating unlike the original dub's episodes which were given a TV-Y7 rating. Although only the first two uncut seasons have been released, more are expected soon.
Until 2001, other English speaking countries including the UK, Canada, Australia and Republic of Ireland received FUNimation's English version of Dragon Ball Z, both the Saban and In-house incarnations. This changed when Episode 108 aired in the UK (also in The Netherlands); the English Dub switched to a version produced in Canada. This version regained the original voice cast by the Ocean Group instead of the FUNimation actors. This version began airing in Canada in the autumn of 2001 from Episode 168, and ran through to the end of the series. It used FUNimation's own videotracks and its scripts, albeit with some changes. This version used music recycled from the Mega Man and Monster Rancher cartoons, as well as a few original pieces for the series by Jon Mitchell, Tom Keenlyside and David Iris. This version suffered from low production values and a rushed schedule. Many voices did not stay consistent through the series, and by the end few remained from the original 1996 cast.See below for a complete cast listing.
Filler is used to pad out the series for many reasons; in the case of Dragon Ball Z, more often than not, it was because the anime was running alongside the manga, and there was no way for the anime to run ahead of the manga since Toriyama was still writing it.
The company behind the anime, Toei Animation, would occasionally create side stories to either further explain things, or simply to extend the series. Filler does not come only in the form of side stories though; sometimes it is as simple as adding some extra attacks into a fight. For instance, many scenes in the anime appear quite protracted, featuring long shots of the characters faces and stand-offs lasting an entire episode or even spanning multiple episodes for a single fight. As the anime series was forced to expand 12 pages of manga image and text into 20-22 minutes of animation footage, these changes were introduced to fill the complete television timeslot or to allow the anime writers to explore some other aspects of the series' universe. The Garlic Jr. arc, between the Frieza Saga and Trunks arc (pre-Cell Saga) and the Afterlife Tournament arc between the Cell and Buu Sagas are examples of this.
In 2003, all of the Dragon Ball Z TV series was finally released for home viewing in Japan, on two large DVD boxed sets, following the release of a similar set for Dragon Ball. Each Dragon Ball Z Dragonbox had a large amount of DVD extras, as well as an action figure and a book.
The video and audio transfers of the show used on these DVDs came off of the Fuji TV master tapes of the show, as this allowed Toei to put out a far superior and completely accurate version of the show on DVD which was helpful since the entire plot of a season could be summed up in about ten minutes. This allowed all episodes to have their original openings, endings, eyecatches, next episode previews, etc., compared to what was available in the US.
In late 2005 the Dragon Box Z DVDs were re-released in single volumes with six episodes per disc. While the packaging and DVD menus are different from the 2003 release, and so far no plans have been announced for the two TV specials and the Playdia footage released with the 2003 versions, the audio and video quality is the exact same as those discs found in the 2003 Dragonbox release.
At the end of March, 2006, a Dragon Box: The Movies DVD box was released. This release contained all 19 Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z theatrical features, along with a book, and two scouters in the form of walkie-talkies. The video and audio are remastered, however the video is cropped and contains less picture than the full-screen versions, a common occurrence for films from Toei, based on long-running and popular TV series (See Saint Seiya, Fist of the North Star, and One Piece).
All Dragonbox releases contain Japanese language audio only (with exceptions to foreign-language bonus clips), and no subtitles.
During the late 90's/early 00's, The first 53 (Saban/FUNimation version numbers, originally uncut as 67) TV episodes were released on to DVD by Pioneer Entertainment USA (now Geneon Entertainment). These contained only the edited, US-TV broadcast versions, and totaled 17 volumes. At a later date, the first 8 DVDs were released as the 'Saiyan Saga', while the final 9 were released as the 'Namek Saga'. As of August the 31st, 2004, Geneon's license for video distribution of these episodes ended, allowing FUNimation to re-release these episodes.
Along with these episodes, Pioneer Ent. also produced bilingual, uncut DVDs of the first three Dragon Ball Z theatrical features. These DVDs retained the original Ocean cast for the English track, as well as being one of the first uncut and bilingual releases in the U.S. The English versions of these films were also subject to a different treatment, rather than replacing the original music, the original OP and ED themes, as well as background music, were retained. The only noticeable differences besides languages are the inclusion of a few different sound effects which are not present on the original Japanese version.
These films were released as a three-disc boxset by Pioneer, however much like the 53 TV episodes Pioneer had license to, the first three Z film's home video rights now belong to FUNimation.
In November 2006, FUNimation announced they would release a remastered form of Dragon Ball Z on DVD beginning in 2007. It was later announced that "Season 1" (the entire Vegeta Saga) would be re-released on February 6, 2007. The first 39 episodes of Season 1 are spread across six discs, and cost $30 USD (the original intention was for 5 discs, but there was a risk of quality reduction). The series has been re-transferred at what they say to be 1080p resolution with digital restoration technology removing all grain and scratches from FUNimation's original prints of the series. Unfortunately, it is not in HD. The quality is a lot better than the original but another flaw is with the digital restoration. Because of the magnitude of the grain and scratch removal, the lines from face features are commonly removed such as the nose and mouth. It is important to note however, that like many late 80's-early 90's Toei productions (for example, Saint Seiya, Sailor Moon, Marmalade Boy, Ghost Sweeper Mikami and Slam Dunk), the series was produced on 16 millimeter film which tends to be fairly grainy and soft. The new restoration was supervised by colorist Steve Franko. It was reported from FUNimation's online trailer that the series would be presented in widescreen format (1.78:1, cropped from the original full frame) for the first time. This was highly controversial among fans, as this is not how the T.V. episodes were intended to be seen and this substantially alters them. Many fans launched a letter-writing campaign against the release. The box set contains a revised English track in Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound (it contains the original Japanese score by Shunsuke Kikuchi, although it is unknown just how the English dialogue is revised). For the first time ever, there is a choice between having the Japanese dialogue with Toei's original Japanese music, or English Dialogue with either FUNimation's dub music or Toei's original Japanese music. Special features include a featurette on the remastering of the original Japanese print and a 24-Page booklet with episode summaries, character descriptions and a DBZ timeline. All other 291 episodes are to be remastered and released in box set form as well.
Comparison images from the new set show that while there is missing footage on the top and bottom (20%), there is at least additional footage on the right and left (5%) that has not appeared in any prior release, having been taken straight from the original Japanese film master recording. In response to negative fan outcry regarding the release's apparent cropping of the source video, a FUNimation representative has released a document from the team remastering the video, which explains the logistics of the new release. This document details how certain areas of the original film are damaged, and admit that though the video is cropped, this release will eliminate the grain that would be present on prior 4:3 releases. They do not address obtaining clean uncropped 4:3 DVD masters available from other overseas sources without grain, most notably European distributors.
The Second Season Set was released on May 22, 2007. It contains both the Namek Saga and Ginyu Saga, with a total of 35 episodes included on six discs.
The Third Season is set to be released on September 18th, 2007. It will contain the Frieza Saga with a total of 33 episodes on six discs. Dragon Ball Z: Burst Limit (ドラゴンボールZ バーストリミット, DoragonbōruZetto Bāsuto Rimitto?) is a video game based off the popular anime/manga series Dragon Ball Z and is being released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles. It was announced in Shonen Jump magazine on December 12, 2007. The developer for the game is Namco Bandai
The game is confirmed to have a story mode, spanning from the beginning of the Saiyan Saga to the end of the Cell Saga. There are also going to be what if scenarios in the game, much like some of the previous games. It is also suggested that characters from the original Dragonball will have a story mode.
On December 24th, 2007, a PV trailer was released. The gameplay shown in the video showcases moves much like those of the Dragon Ball Z Budokai game series, and those of Dragon Ball Z: Shin Budokai , demonstrating that the gameplay will be 2D, unlike the Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi game series which used an over the shoulder camera perspective. At the Taipei Game Show 2008, the game was shown to utilize in-fight cutscenes in an effort to make the game as true to the anime as possible. One such example is a character being attacked with an energy beam, only for the game to switch to a 3D rendered cutscene depicting the character knocking away this attack in defense, then quickly switching back to the continuing 2D gameplay. [5]. The method for using such abilities is currently unknown. Support characters are also usable, with Krillin being the first known example. In-game transformations have also been displayed, with Goku being able to power up to Kaiô-ken while fighting. [6]. Players can also knock their opponents into other stage areas, which is also initiated by the in-game cut-scenes.
The game will also utilize the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360's online functions to battle friends and enemies alike across an internet connection.
Playable characters have been confirmed before the release through various scans and game trailers. The February 2008 edition of the Japanese magazine, V Jump has announced 35 playable characters[8], as well as 13 stages.[9]
