Depotting quads and eyeshadows with a heat method (candle)
Here's a tip for depotting stubborn quads:
Dip your knife in the rubbing alcohol before scraping off the glued eyeshadow from the quad packaging.

Here's my spin on depotting MAC eyeshadows. I do things a little differently than most, but you should do whatever is most comfortable. This is just what I have found that works for me.
SUPPLIES:
flat iron (set to 350 degrees if you have a digital, or set to HIGH otherwise)
small piece of wax paper
a couple of paper towels
a small paring knife/sharp object
an e/s still in it's pot
thin magnets
a palette to put them in!

WnW Mega Eyes Eyeshadows $1.99
Shown:
Fine Wink-light brownish pink shimmer
Na ked- light brown, less shimmery
Cream- creamy highlight, shimmer
Sensual Sage- light green, shimmer
Cherub- light pink highlight, shimmer
I must say that these eyeshadows are pretty good. The texture is soft and they blend well. They are light colors though. There's only about 10 colors I've seen in the drugstore. No vibrant colors. They do have a white, a black, and a cornflower blue one also.
What you'll need to depot:
~Knife (mine was a boning knife)
~Isopropyl Alcohol (rubbing alcohol, any percentage)
~Paper Towels
~Eyedropper (I haven't tried to use anything else besides this. I got this from my old college Biology dissection kit that I never used so it's sterile! Hehe)
~Magnets (Either from advertisements or from the craft store. Mine were Derise brand from JoAnn and they were $2.99 but I had a 40% off coupon!)
~Address Labels (had them laying around in the drawer)
