| Il Duomo di Cremona - 281 sec The Duomo di Cremona (English: Cremona Cathedral) is the seat of the Bishop of Cremona in Lombardy, Italy, and is the main Catholic church of that town. It is dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta, (Our Lady of the Assumption). Its bell tower is the famous Torrazzo, symbol of the city and tallest pre-modern tower in Italy.
Also annexed is the Baptistery, another important medieval monument.
Originally built in Romanesque style, the church was restored and extended with Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque elements. The church was begun in 1107, but the works were damaged and halted after an earthquake in 1117. Construction were resumed in 1129, and the edifice was probably finished in 1160-1170. The main altar, dedicated to the city's patron saints St. Archelaus and St. Irnerius, was consecrated in 1196. | Dinosaurs in Cremona (Italy) - Pt.1 - Dinosaurs - 600 sec March 24, 2008.
After 5 years, two exhibits of the Natural History Museum of London, "Dino Jaws" and "T.rex - The killer question", realized in collaboration with Kokoro Dreams, are touring back in Italy... but only in one town, Cremona (it isn't where I live).
http://www.nhm.ac.uk/index.html

http://www.kokoro-dreams.co.jp/english/
I simply couldn't lose this unique chance... and there I went, with my family!
Even though the robot dinosaurs are *extremely* well done and quite accurate (some have feathers, according to recent discoveries), the two exhibits are conceived to stimulate the curiosity and the reflections of any kind of audience... beginning with the youngest one! :-)
The first exhibit is about dinosaurs and their different eating habits.
The second one focuses on a debate that still sees scientists being divided on two different fronts: was the T-rex a carcass eaeter... or did "he" like to hunt its own (living) food?
I apologize for the (sometimes) bad quality of the footage: from my weelchair perspective... and with all of the people continuously walking in front of my videocam xD I couldn't maybe do better than this!
I didn't write really much in the video for to not sacrifice the footage: I'd say that it speaks (and screams and grunts and roars and munches) for itself!
Oh. And... I apologize for the continuous use of the word... "poo"! xD
But, please notice, it isn't my fault! Simply, they must have thought that children could "like" that subject, somehow... or, at least, that they could find it funny! ^_^
At the end of the exhibits there was an indoor "picnic area", where children were given paper & colors: thousands and thousands drawings were filling two enormous walls!
One day before the ending, according to my ticket serial number, the event saw more than 2 millions visitors! :O
By the way, I'd say that Jurassic Park, something like 15 years ago, gave a new life to the popular interest for these amazing, wonderful beasts! Thank you, Mr. Steven Spielberg! xD
Oh. There was an amazing, beautiful gadgets store, near the picnic area... *_*
There, I bought ***something*** amazing... but that it isn't yet the time to show you! xP
But that time will come!!! :-D
MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
THE WORLD IS MINE!!!
[BONK!!!]

| A day in the country (Cremona from the cornfield) - 179 sec Some days ago I went to the countryside near Cremona with my bike. I shot something. The report of this day is here in this movie. I was walking near a tree trunk when I saw an interesting spider. I discovered that it was an "Argiope Bruennichi". At the end of the tour i saw a black wild cat. It was hunting some hares. In some images i have set the colors: I have increased the green and blue levels.
The first shoots aren't low quality: it would be a painted effect.
