Me going through the 100 trails only using 8 badge points. My battery was low so i only had enough time to capture the final battle, but the trails were relatively boring except for maybe 3 battles.
I forgot to show you all my badge selection, but take my word for it that i had no power plus or defend plus badges for either mario or his partners.
my badge setup was pretty basic in which i only really used quake hammer, sleepy stomp, fire drive, the danger and peril assists for mario and his partners, powersmash, piercing blow, superappeal p (ONCE!) and damage dodge throughout the trials. i only had doubles of sleepy stomp but never used it.
With quick change costing 7bp, i only used it on bonetail, but a part of me wants to make a 5 or maybe 3 badge point run, but i figure my head would explode should i manage to lose in the 90's.
i also had 4 life shrooms saved up for bonetail but i REALLY screwed up in the 70's where i lost all of them.

I finally BEAT Bonetail.
Bonetail, for those of you not familiar with Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, is a skeleton dragon. He's the one boss that is stronger (and by far) then the game's actual final boss (I'm serious, the Shadow Queen was EASY! No comments going "OMGyoufuckingnoob, Bonetail is easy!!!111one")
Bonetail has 200HP, whilst the Shadow Queen (final boss) has merely 150HP.
Goombella wasn't alive when I started this battle, so I couldn't tattle Bonetail and reveal his HP, but I still got by.
For those wondering where Bonetail is, he is at the bottom of the Pit of 100 Trials.
Enjoy, oh and by the way, I'm level 37 in this battle (thank you Amazee Daisies!)
I did this WITHOUT any cheat devices or any stat modding (chet rippo). DO NOT see Chet Rippo, he GREATLY hinders your stats. Hackers may tell you to use him because they all have Action Replays and can just get the stats back, plus they don't want to have anyone getting stronger then they are.
People will attempt to pass the following off as a safe strategy:
- Forget HP, raise mostly BP and some FP.
- Use Chet Rippo
DO NOT do those. HP is important, and chet rippo will completely bugger up your stats unless you hack like SOME people I hate.
Bonetail is NOT as easy as the some people will have you believe, but you have my word, this is legit. My HP, FP, and BP are average for Level 37 (I kill Amazee Daisies to level up, fixed rate of 20 star points), and I take a beating.

I figure that since you guys liked my Paper Mario 2 videos, I'll present the final final battle, which is the one against Bonetail. This was actually fought before I began Chapter 8, so it's actually out of order.
Mario being at 10 HP isn't the only limitation in this battle. I was the unfortunate victim of a glitch I see from time to time. If you want to know what it is, look for something missing...
UPDATE: It turns out it wasn't a glitch. As people have told me, it's because the audience is made up completely of Dry Bones, who don't give points for Stylish moves. Nevertheless, this was quite an unlucky break for me, fighting arguably the strongest boss in the game with an additional handicap like that.

So you want to know the secret of trying to complete the Pit of 100 trials without
the fuss.. allow me to demonstrate my secret:
Okay first off, you'll need a lot of badge points More than 70 BP should suffice.
And second, DEFINITELY GO SEE CHET RIPPO to customize your HP back down to 5/5 for a mere 39 coins. You won't have to see this guy if you DO NOT upgrade your HP any higher than 5, but the bouts in the beginning are harder. I am customizing the rules again because I found another way...
Version 3: April 7th, 2008 @ 3:09 PM (Monday)
Step 1: Get 49 more Power Rush Badges at the Pianta Parlor.
Step 2: Defeat Crazee/Amazy Dayzees for extra Flower Savers. You need at least 3. If you are using a Power Bounce Badge, it would consume 1 FP instead of 3.
Step 3: Apply your badges before dropping in.
Step 4: "ALWAYS STRIKE FIRST, XD" You get TWO chances to attack and just WALKING near an enemy only permits you to attack once.
Step 5: YOU CAN go into the pit with any amount of Star Points but I insist that you DO NOT upgrade your HP!
Go for more Flower Points or Badge Points!! The Danger Mario setup will remain INTACT this way!!
Step 6: Ask the Mover (grey Puny) to take you down a couple floors for 30 coins.
Step 7: Use the Flower Points and the Flower Savers (approximately 2 of them) and use Quake Hammer and Multibounce, Spike Shield and Ice Power. Quake Hammer and Multibounce will ONLY consume 1 flower point.
Step 8: GO CRAZY!! KILL THOSE AMAZY DAYZEES!!
(like I said, do not upgrade your HP!!)
Step 9: Pounce on Bonetail until he meets his devastating match, XD!! 693 HP of Damage!!

The optional fight at the end of the pit of 100 trials. This is the hardest boss in the game (ironically, it´s optional), and you have to make it through the 100 mazes WITHOUT SAVING, so it´s twice as hard.
This isn´t my gameplay as i am still before getting to the moon; it´s my bro in his fille who kills it while i record it.
A curious thing about this boss it´s it´s spanish name. The english names for the three dragons end up in "tail", (hooktail, gloomtail and bonetail) while in the spanish one, the names end up in" baba"(drool) possibly due to the fact that they are dragons, they eat people and that: Hooktail is called gombaba, gloomtail is called bombaba and bonetail is called zombaba (the zom in the name meaning zombie).
Another curiosity is the fact that gloomtail is female in the english version and the other two are male, while in the spanish one, gloomtail is a male and bonetail is a girl. Weird, i know.

Here's the second part of the battle. The glitch crippled my ability to get through this fight. That would be my excuse as to why I had to use two Life Shrooms instead of just one.
When you get down to it though, it's probably already an accomplishment to even reach the bottom of the Pit of 100 Trials with 10 HP.

I beat the Pit of a 100 Trials without using any Items or Star Power and I defeated the hardest Boss in the Game in about 100 Seconds...
Sorry, it was 11 o'clock in the evening and I was a little sleepy when I did this, so I messed up with Power Bounce.

This is gonna be the final Bonetail battle that I'm posting up. Well, as you know, Version 3 has a few minor tweaks to it so it can be more entertaining. I already know what I had predicted is true, YOU CAN beat Bonetail more than once by resetting the game.
Mario will be part of the act as usual, but Danger Koops and Danger Yoshi (DYNAMO), will take care of the rest!!
