| How to fix the Mail app on iPod Touch or iPhone *works* - 288 sec
This is pretty much a surefire way to fix the mail app on your Jailbroken iPod touch. If you are experiencing problems like the Mail app crashing when trying to open it, or if it is just not working correctly after installing something like SummerBoard, I can almost guarantee this will fix it.
In this video I explain three methods to fix this problem:
1. The first methods being the easiest way (using WinSCP) *This should be the default method of choice*
2. The second method should be used if you encountered a problem when trying method one.
3. The third method allows you to do this entire process on the iPod/iPhone *without a computer*!!
NOTE: If for some reason WinSCP is not connecting to your iPod, reboot your iPod and make sure SSH is running. It should work then.

Requirements:
-Jailbroken 1.1.3 (or other) iPod Touch or iPhone
-OpenSSH and BSD subsystem on iPod/iPhone
-Program to access iPod (WinSCP) on PC (if using method 1 or 2)
DOWNLOADS

PUTTY COMMAND (Copy and Paste):
rm -fR /private/var/mobile/Library/Mail
To paste something in a terminal (putty), just right click somewhere in the window.
Note about Putty and Term-vt100:
Please note that when you enter the password in either putty or term-vt100 on the ipod, it will look like no characters are being inputted. It is supposed to do this. Just enter the password and hit return.
UPDATE ABOUT TERM-VT100:
The newest version of term-vt100 does not require you to enter a password.
FOR MAC USERS:
If you want to use the second method (PUTTY SSH), just use the Mac's built-in Terminal application. When you open it up, type the following command:
ssh -l root [ipaddressofipod]
That is an L, but lowercase, not a number one. Then type in alpine as the password when it asks you to.

ALTHOUGH I say that is for a 1.1.3 iPod, I am sure it'll work the same way on the latest firmware, 1.1.4 and later, if you are experiencing problems with the mail app. Just follow the same method.
PLEASE BE AWARE that this erases the email accounts on your iPod touch. However, all you will have to do is just reenter your information after you follow my video. It will download the mail again and you will be good to go.

TEXT INSTRUCTIONS (for method one):
SSH into your iPod (using WinSCP, CuteFTP, or a similar program). Navigate to /private/var/mobile/Library and delete the entire folder called "Mail" without the quotes. Now, startup your mail app, you'll have to reenter your mail settings, but the app will work fine.
