This stunning piece of art in fashion was made of different types of materials from the era, Early 1970's. Polyesters Wools Acrylics Bias Trims - Inside lining is a great print of flowers made out of man made fabric.
The jacket might seem very clownish-vintage but the designer itself is one to definitely collect. His earlier works are very scarce to find and his Disco Jersey gowns are worth thousands of dollars and rarely seen since he made his earlier works, almost ONE OF A KIND -Museum Quality-
The background song is called "Watchlar" by Cocteau Twins
My couture collection started off as a small sampling of real Haute Couture of the Mod era! in 1988 and in the years that followed and for the entire decade of 1990's I mostly collected 1930 to 1970's the 80's where too new and the 70's where more easier to find.
Designers in my collection from real HAUTE COUTURE to regular ready to wear is from all over the world. I have major important pieces from all fashion designers since they started designing themselves.

In 1997 deden de Diaconessen van het Zendings-Diaconessenhuis in Amerongen de belofte dat de naastgelegen 'laatste akker' nooit bebouwd zou worden. Dit vanwege een toen ook al Landroof te noemen project waarbij als compromis de tabaksschuur werd verplaatst naar de naastgelegen akker.
Overigens doen de diaconessen verder goed werk. Maar het negende gebod (Deuteronomium 5:20 En gij zult geen valse getuigenis spreken tegen uw naaste. (NBG51) komt hun bij dit project anno 2007/2008 even wat minder gelegen. Feit dat de plannen klaar liggen geeft aan dat men dit gebod willens en wetens met voeten treedt. Het comité LaatsteAkker wil de reputatie van de diaconessen beschermen door ze van deze wel erg pijnlijke en ongeloofwaardige dwaling af te brengen en de huidige politiek wakker te schudden.

"Francisco Medavogs collection started off as a small sampling of some European couture designs to help him study FASHION design. By looking at the French seams and other intricacies, he learned about couture construction through the true masters of design. This hobby quickly became a collection of more than 25,000 fashion items, primarily 20th century European designs, with a number of them extending back to the 1920s and 30s.
"At first, I didn't quite understand why so many people were interested in seeing these clothes," says Francisco. "For me, the clothes were simply great examples of what I was able to study while at the Fashion Institute. Now, I feel that my collection is the beginning of a wonderful museum collection."
"I'd love to open the first American Fashion Museum, devoted solely to fashion and couture, similar to Zandra Rhodes' museum in London."
Selling his own custom-made dresses in a boutique gained van den Akker enough experience to open a Madison Avenue shop, one in Beverly Hills, and a men's boutique during the 1970s. In 1983 he presented a moderately priced collection, Hot House. By 1986 he was designing lingerie, daytime and evening clothes, furs, sheets, and home furnishings. Women's clothes were made of beautiful fabrics with colorful print and lace inserts, sometimes following the lines of the garments in harmony and balance, other times contrasting shapes versus line. During the 1980s van den Akker collected a following among celebrities, including Gloria Vanderbilt, who at one point surrounded herself with patchwork, as well as Elizabeth Taylor, Cher, Barbara Walters, Glenn Close, and Bill Cosby, who wore van den Akker's sweaters on The Cosby Show.
