| Jim Steinman - Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through - 286 sec From Jim Steinman's 1981 album "Bad For Good" comes this 80's hit more recently re-recorded by Meatloaf. Jim produced the album and sung some of the tracks but this particular one (uncredited in the album) was sung by Rory Dodd.
There are plenty of versions of the Meatloaf edition but nary one of Steinman's, and those that I could find have a terrible audio track, so here it is my humble rework of the audio... in ((( Stereo ))) where available (MySpace) - not here on YouTube :-(
Anyway, hope it brings some memories. Enjoy! Auteur : cc6809 Tags:Jim Steinman Bad for Good Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through Rory Dodd |

| Wasted Youth - Jim Steinman from Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell - 216 sec The monologue from Meat Loaf's Bat Out Of Hell II: Back Into Hell, Wasted Youth, all written and originally spoken by Jim Steinman.
From Wikipedia:
"The track quotes lyrics from the original's "Paradise by the Dashboard Light", a spoken word fantasy monologue, performed by Steinman. The 1977 song's opening line "I remember everything little thing as if it happened yesterday. I was barely seventeen" opens this track, but instead of being "barely dressed" the protagonist "once killed a boy with a Fender guitar." Influenced by The Doors, Steinman wanted to write a piece where 'the rhythm wasn't coming from the drums so much as the voice - the rhythm of the spoken voice and the heartbeat behind it.'"
Brian performs the monologue in its entirety from memory.
He called me and told me that he knew this monologue and used to recite it at the arcade when he was a kid.
He would entertain his friends with it and now he can entertain the entire world with it. | Jim Steinman -Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through - 269 sec Original 1981 version of Meat Loaf's early 90's cover version. Intended, since its creation, to be part of the "Bat Out of Hell" album follow up, Bad for Good, it was finally recorded by Steinman (all the album), tired of waiting for Loaf to recover from vocal problems.
The song was entitled "SUEÑOS DE UN BAILARÍN" (Dreams of a dancer) in Costa Rica, which is a very literal reference of what we see in the video.
