| Orpheus perform their hit single "Can't Find The Time" - 186 sec
Bruce Arnold and his band Orpheus perform their 1968 hit, "Can't Find The Time", at The Bitter End in Greenwich Village, New York. This lip-synced performance was shot for a television show, which aired locally in NYC. Other artists on the show included Marvin Gaye, The Staple Singers, Woody Allen and The Mothers of Invention.
"Can't Find The Time" (a.k.a. "Can't Find The Time To Tell You") was written by Arnold and has been covered by numerous other artists including Hootie & The Blowfish. Hootie's version appears in the Farelly Brothers film, "Me, Myself & Irene" starring Jim Carrey and Renée Zellweger.
Orpheus leader Bruce Arnold lives in Marin County, California and is currently recording a new Orpheus album featuring original members Howard Hersh, Elliot Sherman and the legendary drummer, Bernard "Pretty" Purdie (who was not credited on the band's material for MGM).
The new album also features the late great Brad Delp (Boston) as well as David Freiberg (Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Starship), Jerry Harrison (The Talking Heads), Darby Slick (The Great Society, Jefferson Airplane) and the Tiger Okoshi horn section.

"Orpheus is able to channel the spirit of Eurydice through the body of an old woman. Orpheus calls out to her and asks to see her, but Eurydice begs him not to look toward the voice, lest he lose her forever. When he looks back to see Eurydice, her spirit leaves the woman and he loses her forever."

Shorter College Opera Theatre performs the final scene from Jacques Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld. Featuring Lenora Green as Eurydice.
In this scene, Eurydice attends disguised as a bacchante, a follower of Bacchus, god of wine, but Pluto realises who she is and blocks Jupiter's path when Jupiter tries to make off with her. Jupiter again accuses Pluto of abducting Eurydice. When Orpheus and Public Opinion appear, Jupiter tells Orpheus he can take his wife away, but only if he does not look back at her as they go. When Orpheus fails this test, Pluto claims Eurydice. Jupiter, however, takes her away from Pluto by announcing that he is turning her into a real bacchante. Everyone, except Pluto and Public Opinion, is delighted and the operetta climaxes with the energetic Can-Can, danced by all the gods and goddesses.

Orpheus (full title: Die wunderbare Beständigkeit der Liebe oder Orpheus, The Wonderful Constancy of Love, or Orpheus) is an opera in three acts by the German composer Georg Philipp Telemann. It was first performed in a concert version at the Theater am Gänsemarkt, Hamburg on 9 March 1726. The anonymous libretto is based on Orphée by Michel du Boulay, originally set by the French composer Louis Lully. Most of the work is in German but it also contains passages in French and Italian drawn from famous operas by Handel and Jean-Baptiste Lully. The music to these words is Telemann's own, however. The manuscript score of Orpheus was not rediscovered until the late 20th century.
