I made this video only a few days after the Japanese version came out, and it's entirely possible everything I say in this video regarding strategies will turn out to be completely wrong in the long run. My experience with these characters is fairly limited, but there was a cry for videos, so I made some! If you see this video in 2 years, don't laugh at my inexperience. :)

I don't consider myself to be the best Olimar, and this video is not a "hey look at me" video. Olimar is fun to play and making vids for youtube is personal hobby of mine.

Here's the first clip of me doing the pikmin desync, granted this is when i first figured out how so it took me a couple tries. I have more videos which ill upload later but the desync happens at the end. That and I was using two controllers to do it so i look stupid sometimes haha.

This video's intent is to demonstrate just about all of the character's moves, throws, taunts, special moves, and final smash. I also share some brief thoughts of mine after playing this game a lot.
Olimar is actually a very good character. I thought he sucked when I first played with him, but I practiced with him and now he is very good. His A moves are all fantastic, and have awesome knockback. The Pikmin do varying amounts of damage based on their color, and you can re-order them with his B+Down move. His final smash will kill almost anyone who happens to be standing on the ground when the rocket hits it, and will heavily damage anyone who doesn't die. Watch out for Pikmin and Olimar. His main problem is his jump and recovery. If you have no Pikmin, you basically have no recovery.

| Olimar test (Recovery + Edgehogging) - 91 sec
First of all, I'm not an Olimar hater or something like that, just providing you info. To recover with Edgehogging you will actually need a Purple Pikmin (not easy to get one) and the range of the throw is lower than the range of the of the recovery.
First stock: Olimar tries to recover while someone is edge hogging.
Second stock: Olimar uses Purple pikmin throw (the only that gives KB) on a fair distance (I didn't miss because I'm a noob :P, I'm just showing that the range isn't good) and then tries to recover again.
Third stock: Shows the distance of the normal recover (it's even better than that)
