3rd installment of Oberheim OB8 arpeggio rushes. This is again a free running, latched chord. The OB8 is in split mode and I use the high/low balance to create the dynamics in the pulses. Heavy FM from the LFO to just about everything it can.

Uses the same trick as ARP03, offsetting the balance between 2 versions of the same sound used in a split. Softer pad with (offset) PWM to both OSC's. Used the characterstic 2 pole filter with some LFO mod.
Next stop I'm gonna try layering some evolving harmoic pads from my Xpander with the Arpeggiator of the OB8...

| Vocoder What Is It? EMS 2000 VS Sennheiser Vocoder - 232 sec
Here is how an analog vocoder works. I am not going to use technical "jibberish" so I will speak normal vocabulary. This is the legendary EMS Vocoder 2000 (from 1977) which soundwise compares against Sennheiser, Moog(Bode), Synton, Roland, Korg. I will give a basic demonstration on how to use a vocoder and how a vocoder functions to give it that "robotic" sound. I used an Oberheim OB-8 Keyboard to trigger the pitch on the vocoder

Again, same day we did several of these. Smax and I were remembering the old days. The original track was done on a OB8 for bass and organ and a ploy-6 for strings. I'm using the OB8 and a Juno 1 since I only have two hands, no strings on this one.
