The wonderful American soprano Danielle de Niese plays Cleopatra and the excellent British mezzo-soprano Sarah Connolly plays Giulio Cesare in this Glyndebourne 2005 staging.
In this scene, Cesare and Cleopatra sing their final duet. Cleopatra has just been crowned Queen of Egypt, now part of the Roman Empire, as consort to Roman emperor-general Giulio Cesare.

Der Sänger der Toten Hosen präsentierte sich gestern Abend beim Konzert in dem lippischen Dorf Niese in bester Verfassung. Die Toten Hosen spielten vor rund 200 begeisterten Fans im Saal der Kneipe "Zur Rose" im 455-Einwohner-Ort bei Lügde.
"Hey Ho, Let's Go" - mit der Hymne der Ramones ging's los. Dann folgten "Liebesspieler", "Alles aus Liebe" und "Opel Gang" - alles populäre Songs aus früheren Alben. Die Toten Hosen verstanden es, ihre Fans vom ersten Stück an mitzureißen. Und Campino ging auch auf die kleine Ortschaft ein: "Ab heute ist Niese berühmt", sagte er mit einer gehörigen Portion Selbstbewusstsein.
Die fünf Düsseldorfer Punkrocker, die am vergangenen Sonntag vor 85.000 Fans in Nürnberg gespielt hatten, gaben für die Nieser Tippgemeinschaft und deren Freunde zwei Stunden lang ein grandioses Konzert.
