| NHL First Round Playoff Predictions!! - 492 sec
These are my first round playoff predictions for the 2007-2008 NHL season. I hope you folks enjoy? This is my first ever video by the way. So Feel free to leave any comments you would like. Oh by the way I wrote my own commentary on this also. So enjoy!!
My 1st round playoff predictions:
Eastern Conference first round predictions:
1 Montreal Vs. 8. Boston
Montreal in 5 to much speed. And goaltending I give to the habs with price over Thomas!!
2. Pittsburgh Vs. 7. Ottawa
Ottawa in 6. Even though Pitt has Malkin and Crosby. I still like the sens eventhough Alfie is out I think they will come through. Plus they beat Pittsburgh usually and both tend to be more offensive minded then though. And because I love the sens and there farm team here. Go sens Go sens!! Sens in 6.
3. Washington Vs. 6.Philidelphia
Washington in 5 to much Ovechkin and this team is on a role and to prove something. Plus Philadelphia is a little slow and bullish on the back end. And in goal Biron eventhough I like him from his days in Buffalo and when he played in Rochester he is soft at times and lets in soft goals. Better not against Alex O. Caps in 5.
4. Devils Vs. 5. Rangers
Hell of a series this is going to be? I am thinking 6 or 7? I am taking 7 though. This time around I like the Rangers. The Devils sometimes have problems this year with teams that have quickness and speed up front. Plus the devils lack scoring. Especially with Drury, Gomezs, and Jagr up front I think the rangers can exploit that weekness of Jersey. I like the Rangers? Plus Henrick Lundquist has something to prove I feel. Should be good none the less. Rangers in 7!!
Western Conference first round predictions:
1. Detroit Vs. 8. Nashville
Well for one Nashville just battled the final weeks to get in when no one expected them to really. So I like Detroit in 5. To much veteran leadership up front with Zetterberg, Datsyuk, Lidstrom, Holmstrom. Plus Hasek is the Old Vetern warrior as always. Expect Nashville to win one I think with Arnott having had a good season. Other then that though wings in 5 to much depth and experience.
2. Sanjose Vs. 7. Calgary
The same day the spitzer scandle happend before I woke up in the morning and heard about it I had a dream about prostitution. And the same week a few days later I had a dream that Calgary beat Sanjose in the Western Conference finals in 7. This may not be the Western Finals but I like Calgary in 6. The reasoning is that Thornton tends to be slow and Sanjose and Thornton both have a history of not doing anything in the playoffs going back to thorntons days in boston. Plus Calgary has Iginla who I just love and Phaneuf who is a hell of a defensemen. Plus they skate good and Kiprusoff in my opinion can match Nabkov. And oh by the way I think the flames could be a dark horse to win it all as I dreamed it. And also dont forget back in 04 calgary should have won the cup. Gelinas clearly beat Khabulin in overtime of game 6 in the 04 finals. Flames in 6.
3. Minnesota Vs. 6. Colorado.
Division rivels meet up. I like the Aves though with Paul Stanzy and Joe Sakic health now. Plus Theodore has experience in the playoffs going back to his days in montreal. If healthy all year I think Colorado would have won the division. Plus they beat them the final game of the regular season. Aves in 6 they pull off what should not really be a shocker.
4. Ducks Vs. 5. Stars
This series I find intriguing. You have two good goalies in Turco and Gigurie who won the cup last year. However I like the Ducks. I know they dont score much but with Niedermayer, Selänne, Pronger, and a solid D. It should be enough to get by Dallas who has just been playing dreadfull as of late. Plus they are a little slow on both D and Offense. Ducks in 7 they should be able to keep there cup hopes alive for at least one more round.
