Got up early this morning to head over to Miller Motorsports Park in the city of Tooele (that's Two-ella) just east of Salt Lake City. We've seen this relatively new track on TV a few times before, but not even a good HD telecast could do justice to the almost surreal facility in the Utah desert. It's easily the most modern, well thought out race track we've ever seen.
John Gardner, Media Manager for Miller Motorsports Park, invited us over to stretch the legs of the GT-R around the West Loop. It's just over two miles long and features 10 turns. John then introduced us to Mitch Wright, Director of Racing, who gave us a few tips on the correct lines before letting us loose at full speed.

Technology transfer programmes conducted at Sauber PETRONAS Engineering, a 60:40 joint-venture company owned by Sauber and PETRONAS have produced more than 50 automotive engineering specialists for Malaysia. Its efforts in developing capabilities have seen PETRONAS formulate and supply advanced fuel and lubricants for the consumption of the Sauber PETRONAS Formula One cars as well add new chapters in Malaysia's engineering milestones with the creation of automotive engines, in particular the GP1, which powered Malaysia's first super bike, the PETRONAS FP1 and PETRONAS E01 engine... now PETRONAS looking forward to share the knowledge on engineering and be the good partner with German BMW who currently owned the BMW Sauber F1 Team by improving the sporting performance.
A month after becoming the youngest Asian in the world to win a major Touring car championship title, the newly crowned 2007 Asian Touring Car Champion, Malaysian Fariqe Hairuman was in Munich this past weekend to receive a special trophy from BMW.
The trophy was presented by BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen in recognition of the 24-year old's accomplishments in the 2007 Asian Touring Car Series. The PETRONAS Syntium Team driver had earlier capped off his third season in the series taking home the coveted title driving the BMW 320i in the final round of the championship at Zhuhai on November 4th 2007!
in year 2008, PETRONAS signed an agreement to be a partnership with TOYOTA and TOM's in Japan's Super GT race championship, Formula Nippon and Japan Formula 3.. the new team was named PETRONAS TOYOTA TEAM TOM'S.. at the first round of Japan Super GT on 16 March 2008, PETRONAS TOM'S Lexus SC 430 got into podium position at number 3 just behind the NISMO Nissan GT-R 35 team who got the first and second place of the competition.
and I hope the standing will be better and better in each of the race.. may Malaysia, German, Japan and Switzerland have a good partnership in automotive engineering and other sectors.. HOPE FOR MORE GREAT SUCCESS!

BMW Sauber F1 Team is a Formula One team with bases in Hinwil, Switzerland and Munich, Germany. The team was formed at the end of 2005 as a result of a takeover of the existing Sauber Formula One team by German car manufacturer BMW. The team scored two podium finishes and came fifth in 2006, its first season in Formula One. This was followed by a 2nd place in 2007 after the McLaren team had been excluded from the championship. The team gained its first win in 2008.
BMW Won their first race, achieving a one-two finish in Canada 2008 with Robert Kubica's first race win and Nick Heidfield taking second place. The victory came after Kubica overtook championship points leaded Lewis Hamilton in the pits, and then astutely came to a stop at the end of the closed pit lane exit, while Hamilton failed to halt his car in time, colliding with Kimi Raikkonen, ending the race for both drivers. Kubica was on a different refueling strategy from Heidfeld, who also briefly led the Canadian Grand Prix, before securing the one-two finish in comfortable fashion.
Technology Transfer remains one of the primary factors behind BMW's continued participation in motorsport's premier formula. The latest application of this philosophy can be found in the new BMW M3.
