how to get the Halo 3 IWHBYD Skull
on the level the covenant , when you enter the cideal you come across 7 rings. go kill the brutes,grunts and such and then kill the truth. then kill the flood. after all the flood is gone jump thru the rings in this order.

NOTE: YOU MUST START AT THE BEGINNING OF THE LEVEL. NO RALLY POINTS!!!!
INSTUCTIONS:The Skull is located in the level, "The Covenant". After defeating the Scarabs, and going inside, get to the location with all 7 Ring Holograms. You must jump through the rings in a specific order. That order is as follows (1 is at the entrance, 7 is at the end).
Code is 4 6 5 4 5 3 4
This code is shorter because someone at Halo3Planet discovered that you only need to enter the last half of the sequence for the skull to be activated.

Are you having problems with this not working? Well here's a list of the solutions.

Use this combo 465 4534
Start the level from MISSION START
Be in Normal Mode or Higher
Kill everybody in the final tower first before starting the combo
Hit the last Cortana checkpoint before starting the combo
Try doing it with someone else, because sometimes people's disks get scratched and it messes up
Don't jump through the rings by accident and be careful when jumping so you only go through the right ones and you go threw it fully.

This is my updated video on how to get the "I Would Have Been Your Daddy" skull on Halo 3. The skull ONLY unlocks the hidden dialouge during the campaign (you need all skulls for Hayabusa helmet) and is not an achievement so you wont get a message. I included the common reasons why people werent getting it also.
Important additions:
If you are in a party, only ONE person jumps through the rings or it will mess up the sequence. As you can see in this video, my buddy runs through the rings, as I run along on the side reading off the numbers and making sure he jumps THROUGH the RIGHT rings.
One person jumps through the rings, everyone doesnt need to pick it up, you will all have it.

***IMPORTANT! READ THIS!***
To clarify a few things:
1. You must start the level FROM THE BEGINNING on Normal, Heroic, or Legendary difficulty, OR THE SKULL WILL NOT APPEAR!
2. DO NOT touch the rings. This may cause the skull to not appear.
3. Jump through the rings AFTER the cut scene with truth and AFTER fighting the flood. DO NOT TOUCH THE RINGS!
4. Jump COMPLETELY through the rings in this order: 4 6 5 4 5 3 4
5. The skull should now appear on the bridge.
6. Finish the level! It only takes about 30 seconds from this point to get to the end.

Some extra notes: Yes you do have to play the level from the beginning. Yes you have to activate the scene where the prophet dies. You can get it on Normal which is what difficulty I did it on. You have to have the other tweleve skulls for the Hayabusa armor to be unlocked. No I do not know if you have to kill all the flood. I also don't know nothing about starting with 1,3,4,6,7,5,4,6,5,5,4,3,4 I only went by what order I saw that day that is listed in the description.

I jumped through the rings again and made another recording with a better camera so take a look at the video response if you want better quality. 4654534 is the shortened sequence. When we first jumped through the rings, the sequence was long but we found out we only had to jump through the last 7 numbers.
