Sami al-Hajj, the Al Jazeera cameraman who was held by the US in its controversial Guantanamo prison, has been freed.
Al-Hajj, who had been on hunger strike for months in protest over his treatment in Guantanamo, was flown to Khartoum and taken immediately to hospital.
Later he was reunited with his family.

Listen to Hajj khutbah at Masjid e Nimrah (Mosque of Nimrah), and pray Zuhr (two rak'ahs) and Asr (two rak'ahs). Note that there is only one adhan but two aqaamahs. There are no nawaafils between these prayers.
Go to Arfah. Must stay (waquuf) between noon till sunset, even for a little time. Make the following or similar supplications:
There is no god (worthy of worship) besides Allah, who is Alone and has no partner. Unto Him (belongs) all sovereignty, for Him is all praise and He has power over everything.
Leave for Muzdalefah after sunset.
Make the following or similar supplication while going to Muzdalefah: O Allah! To You I return, to Your Mercy I turn, from Your Anger I shudder, from Your Punishment I fear, so accept my rites, make great my reward, accept my repentance, have mercy on my humility, accept my prayer and grant my request.

Sami al-Hajj, a cameraman for Al Jazeera, had not tasted freedom since 2001.
But now he is in his homeland Sudan after spending six years at the US military prison in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, where he was held without charge or trial.
The frail and sick-looking man was delivered to the Sudanese authorities in Khartoum. There he had an emotional reunion with his family as he arrived at hospital.
Amr El-Kahky, who worked with al-Hajj before his imprisonement, went to meet him and sent this report.

The separatist movement in J& K was projected as anything but communal by those in media, called the movement as a fight for Kashmiriat(A new Terminology to cover-up, dark religious movement for separation of J&K from India).
PDP of Mufti Mohammad Sayed & his daughter Rubia Sayed( Of the fake kidnapping fame) along with Hurriyat conference and other fringe leaders like Yassin Mohammad want the scalp of Governor & Head of Amarnath Board for getting allocated less then 100 acres of degraded forest land(where no forest exists) for making arrangements on temporary basis for pilgrims visiting Amarnath cave.
They see this as conspiracy to make the place Hindu majority in a Muslim majority state by changing demography. Such is the reasoning of these worthies that forces me believe that price for following secularism is too steep and not worth!
So -called secular media carried slander against Lt Gen(Retd) SK Sinha, Governor of J&K as someone holding on to his seat despite nomination of a new governor, Mr NN Vohra. The fact is LtGen(Retd) SK Sinha is vacating the seat on 25th Jun08, the secular media sited Amarnath Yatra as a reason. It is plainly disgusting to read manipulated stories by pseudo secularists.
As a Hindu and truly secular( respecting all religions), it pains me in believing that secularism is a Goli only for the consumption of Hindu's. The entire valley is burning on a presumption which is remotely not true. No political party worth its name has protested against the above quoted two incidents of stark communalism by worthies in communist parties and so called parties representing secular kashmiriat.
PDP wanted Army out of valley, stating Army was perpetuating human rights violation and wanted open borders with Pakistan, including joint rule of J &K, I wonder if the party operates with in Indian constitutional norms?
Some political parties in Jammu wanted to blockade food grains laded trucks to the valley, I wish they had followed the threat. I feel ashamed to feed such elements from the national exchequer.
Such incidents makes one believe, Article 370 should be abolished from the constitution, as a nation, we need to have 100 year policy on Kashmir, and plan its assimilation into national main stream even if required by force.
